About the Role:
Payoneer is seeking a highly organised, proactive SEO Project Manager to join our global SEO team.
In this key support role, you will manage and streamline the end-to-end SEO project workflows — across content production, technical SEO, and on-site optimization initiatives — to help deliver our ambitious SEO growth targets.
You will work closely with SEO specialists, content creators, developers, regional marketing teams, and legal/compliance teams, ensuring all projects are executed efficiently, transparently, and in line with best practices.
This role is ideal for someone early in their SEO career who is passionate about both content and technical SEO operations and wants to grow into a future SEO strategist or SEO program manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Production Management
- Manage the full SEO content pipeline, aiming to support publishing 90+ new SEO-optimised pages per month.
- Coordinate brief creation, writer assignment, editing, legal approval, publishing, and reporting stages.
- Collaborate with the Content department’s PMs to align SEO content goals with wider brand content efforts.
Technical and Onsite SEO Project Coordination
- Support technical SEO initiatives, including crawlability improvements, site architecture optimisation, Core Web Vitals enhancements, and structured data implementation.
- Coordinate with internal development teams and agencies to ensure timely delivery of technical SEO tasks.
- Manage technical SEO ticketing and project tracking across platforms like Asana, Jira, and CMS platforms.
- Assist in scheduling and tracking site audits, fixes, and SEO experimentation projects.
Workflow & Ticket Management
- Create, assign, and monitor SEO tickets (content, technical fixes, optimisation projects) ensuring they progress smoothly through approval stages.
- Liaise with regional marketing teams to prioritise and manage localisation SEO content and technical projects.
- Proactively follow up with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met and blockers are resolved quickly.
Legal & Stakeholder Approvals
- Own the legal review and compliance approval workflows for all SEO-driven projects.
- Ensure timely reviews, minimise bottlenecks, and maintain strong relationships with Legal and Compliance teams.
Project Tracking, Transparency & Reporting
- Maintain a clear, up-to-date SEO project status dashboard accessible to the SEO team and stakeholders.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on the progress, risks, and blockers of all active SEO projects.
- Run weekly status meetings with the SEO team to align on project timelines, ownership, and next steps.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with SEO specialists, content writers, web developers, regional marketing teams, and external vendors/agencies.
- Ensure that all project participants are aligned and fully briefed on goals, scope, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Help educate non-SEO stakeholders on SEO processes where needed to accelerate project execution.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in SEO project management, marketing operations, or content coordination.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with outstanding attention to detail.
- Good understanding of both SEO content and technical SEO principles (metadata, internal linking, page speed, indexation).
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Jira, Monday.com).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working with stakeholders across regions and departments.
- Ability to manage approvals and compliance processes.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working within an SEO, web development, or content marketing team.
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore).
- Basic knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog.
- Familiarity with basic HTML, website architecture, and SEO performance reporting.
- Experience working within a multinational, multilingual organisation.
About You:
- You are highly organised and thrive on bringing clarity to complex processes.
- You are passionate about SEO — both content and technical.
- You are a proactive communicator who loves solving problems and removing blockers.
- You are detail-oriented, data-driven, and able to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- You believe in continuous improvement and always look for opportunities to optimise workflows.
