Senior Data Analyst

Based in Shanghai

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join Payoneer Operations for Great China region. This role will focus on driving data-driven decision-making across operational workflows, optimizing processes, improving customer experience and enhancing cross-departmental efficiency. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in data modeling and visualization with project management skills to deliver actionable insights and scalable solutions.

What You’ll Be Spending Your Time On:

  • Lead end-to-end data projects, including requirements gathering, data modeling, and deployment of BI solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from local and global to capture, prioritize and deliver the data analytical requirements and drive measurable results.
  • Own the development of key metrics, dashboards, and data segmentations to monitor and improve operational performance.
  • Analyze key metrics changes and perform root cause analysis to identify the opportunity for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring robust and reliable pipelines.
  • Manage the lifecycle of data projects, including prioritization, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
  • Provide mentorship and contribute to the team’s knowledge-sharing culture.

Have You Done This Kind of Stuff?

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling, SQL (BigQuery preferred), and data visualization tools (Power BI preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience managing data projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree and above.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English skills, with the ability to communicate with cross-functional stakeholders in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Motivated self-starter who can learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of advanced analytical thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking in fast-paced settings.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or financial operations is a strong plus.
