Wanted: Architect of Workforce Strategy

We’re on the hunt for a strategic powerhouse to design and execute the future of workforce planning, organizational design, and location strategy. This is not a “plug and play” role—you’ll be building the function’s muscle, creating scalable systems, and driving real change across the organization. You’ll be the one collaborating with leaders across the company, translating business strategy into workforce strategy, aligning talent with priorities and helping leaders plan for today, tomorrow, and what’s next. This role will shape how we think about talent and resource allocation, driving the strategies that help us scale smart and stay competitive.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build Workforce Strategy: You’ll design the playbook for workforce planning, combining data, insights, and operational strategy to guide how we manage talent across the company.
  • Reimagine Organizational Design: Build structures that eliminate bloat and improve efficiency. Partner with HRBPs and leaders to redefine spans of control, streamline layers, and clarify roles and responsibilities.
  • Create a Location Strategy: Develop and execute a plan that balances cost, talent availability, and collaboration. Align current and potential hubs with business priorities, and work with real estate and facilities teams to bring it all together.
  • Drive Alignment: Partner with leaders to understand their business needs and translate them into actionable workforce plans. You’ll keep us laser-focused on priorities while ensuring we’re staying agile.
  • Optimize Workforce Composition: Define guidelines for using FTEs, contingent workers, and consultants. Partner with Legal, Procurement, and HR to ensure compliance with global regulations while maximizing efficiency and flexibility.
  • Refine Hybrid Work: Fine-tune hybrid and remote work policies to enhance engagement and productivity. Ensure location and workforce strategies align with operational needs and employee preferences.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics to anticipate workforce needs, identify gaps, and recommend solutions. You’ll make sure we’re always one step ahead.
  • Solve Problems, Fast: When things get murky, you’ll bring clarity. Whether it’s helping leaders make trade-offs or managing workforce challenges, you’ll simplify the complex and drive decisions.
  • Own Program Execution: Create and manage a roadmap with clear milestones. Lead cross-functional efforts to tackle spans/layers optimization, reduce overhead, and address critical capability gaps.

What you bring:

  • A knack for workforce planning, talent strategy, or operations—call it what you want, but you’ve been in the thick of it before
  • 10+ years of experience building and executing workforce strategies at scale, ideally in a fast-moving, global environment
  • You’re obsessed with data, but you know how to turn it into something leaders can act on
  • Proven ability to build systems from scratch and improve what’s already there
  • You’re a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach—you don’t just set the vision; you make it happen
  • People trust you because you simplify the hard stuff and keep things moving

In accordance with New York City Law, below is the annual base salary range for this position. Actual annual base salary is based on, but not limited to: experience, education, professional licenses, location and business needs. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, paid-time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $140,000-$185,000
