The Challenge

As OneTrust continues to scale globally, the complexity of our financial reporting and technical accounting continues to grow. This role will oversee complex accounting areas, support financial statement preparation, and serve as a key point of contact for technical accounting matters and external auditors. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently while partnering cross-functionally.

Your Mission

You will own and oversee key corporate accounting and technical accounting areas as part of the monthly close, lead preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, coordinate the external audit, and perform accounting research to support business initiatives and evolving accounting standards.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and support month-end close activities, including preparation and review of key corporate accounting areas (including but not limited to stock-based compensation, capitalized software, leases, equity, impairment, commissions, etc.)

  • Prepare and review the consolidated financial statements and footnotes in accordance with US GAAP

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual reports and other SEC filings

  • Coordinate with other functions, including members of senior management, and impacted stakeholders to obtain information necessary to ensure accurate disclosures in the company’s financial statements

  • Support technical accounting matters (complex transactions, policy interpretation, documentation)

  • Research and analyze complex accounting issues and provide guidance on the interpretation of relevant accounting standards (ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 350, ASC 842, etc.)

  • Prepare analysis for Controllers and Directors as requested, complete ad-hoc reporting to research and resolve inquiries

You Are

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex issues into simple and easy to understand terms

  • Strong technical accounting background with deep knowledge of US GAAP

  • Thorough knowledge of SOX 404 and SEC reporting standards, as well as experience with technical research

  • Strong people, project and client management skills

  • Meticulous in maintaining accounting records and pride yourself with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong analytical skills, sound interpretation of complex subject matter, ability to generate meaningful insights and develop pragmatic solutions

  • Adaptable to change and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment

  • A team player who values collaboration, whilst having the autonomy and self-motivation to work independently

Your Experience Includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or audit, preferably with public, multinational companies

  • CPA certification or equivalent relevant professional experience

  • Workday Financials experience a plus

  • Big 4 accounting firm experience a plus

For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.

Salary Range
$112,500$168,750 USD
