About the team / role
Treasury/ALM Manager is part of Treasury/ALM Banking Alliance. ALM’s goal is to provide analytics and suggest strategies to optimize Nubank’s balance sheet in line with the bank's risk-appetite in order to protect Nubank’s interests, reputation, liquidity position, rating, and profitability. It also coordinates active liquidity management for execution of the funding and investments activities.
Responsible for the adherence to the ALM strategy, the compliance with regulatory requests, contingency funding plan, and indirectly, the liquidity stress tests. Assessment of tax framework changes and its impacts, the necessary FTP updates and performance of accounting exercises when necessary.
As a Treasury Manager, you're expected to:
- Responsible for planning and execution of funding strategies, liquidity management, capital monitoring and prudential usage of derivatives.
- Responsible for the overview and execution of the contingency funding plan and for the oversight of the liquidity stress tests.
- Responsible for the compliance to regulatory requests.
- Perform assessment of the tax frameworks changes' impacts on the portfolios.
- Responsible for the FTP updates, approvals and the policy-making clarification and improvements when necessary.
- Performance of IFRS or other accounting exercises when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of technical expertise within the team, enhancing business and product knowledge.
- Support and champion the development and coaching of the team.
We are looking for a Treasury Manager, who has:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Industrial Engineering, among others
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar job position in financial industry
- Experience and technical knowledge of fixed-income market
- Excel and SQL experience (nice to have)
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Ability to multi-task and adapt – ability to deliver on a variety of topics in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

The position is based in Bogotá, Colombia.
Nubank continues to hire for all open roles, all interviewing and onboarding is done virtually. Everyone new to the team and our current staff will be working from home for 7-8 weeks and 1 at the office (Bogotá).
