Our Product Operations Team

At Nu, many things are done from scratch. We understood that to offer the most transparent, fair, and intuitive financial products and services we had to recreate them from our early days completely. We needed professionals who could navigate from business strategy to project management for this endeavor, from risk assessment to cross-team alignment. That's how and why our Product Operations team was born. A quarter Product Manager, a quarter Business Analyst, a quarter Management Advisor and a quarter… Something else? Product Operations Leads are the ultimate owners of Nu's operations, ensuring that projects and processes run efficiently.

As a Product Operations for Processing Excellence, you're expected to:

  • Lead the squad, managing team performance and ensuring successful delivery of results.
  • Define and set OKRs based on strategic business priorities, driving the team toward achieving these goals.
  • Facilitate planning sessions, check-ins, and regular team routines to maintain alignment and progress.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment across teams, while also serving as the primary point of contact for the brand network on operational matters.
  • Oversee and optimize the processes that run inside Processing platforms, ensuring compliance with regulatory network standards.
  • Focus on risk mitigation strategies to safeguard operations while identifying opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Identify opportunities for cost efficiency and process improvements.
  • Drive strategic relationships across both the card brands as well as other players in the ecosystem (acquirers, merchants, issuers).
  • Drive the BU's influence and positioning through influencing product development and other revenue-driven opportunities.

We're looking for a Senior Product Operations who has:

  • Seasoned leader experienced in developing and scaling high performing teams.
  • Experience in managing complex operational processes, preferably within card processing, compliance, or related financial services domains.
  • Strong analytical background from data-driven, tech-forward companies or consulting firms, with expertise in leveraging data to optimize processes and drive operational excellence.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for cost efficiency, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrable track-record of vendor and stakeholder management and end-to-end project leadership.
  • Experience managing by influence and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proactive approach to solving challenges, embracing change, and finding innovative solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in payment companies is a plus.
  • Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus.

Our Nu Way of Working

Our work model is hybrid and has cycles that can be from two to three months according to the business of ​​expertise. For every eight or twelve weeks of remote work, one will be at the office. Check more information here.
