About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic-minded individual to join our team as an IT Strategic Consultant. As our IT Strategic Consultant, you will be responsible for creating strategies and plans to cover regulatory IT requirements in Colombia while advancing our global presence. IT teams include Infrastructure, Network and support engineers among others (Not software engineers)

You will be responsible for

Your main responsibility in this role will be to translate Nubank's requirements into a coherent and aligned roadmap that generates visible outcomes. You will need to gather information from various stakeholders and customize and formalize the project plans in accordance with the regulatory requirements, presenting them to the authorities.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Aligning with different IT internal stakeholders to centralize the information for the requirement that already exists.
  • Negotiating with both internal and external stakeholders for designing, delivering, and operating the regulatory projects, collaborating with the IT team as necessary.
  • Developing the IT architecture framework to cover applications, telecommunications, including capacity planning.
  • Creating a framework for the interrelation of different IT systems and mechanisms for their security, DR’s, and operation manuals.
  • Creating a disaster recovery plan that validates each of the IT systems and tools used by the Institution.
  • Collaborating with the Engineering team to create a detailed description of the electronic banking services that are intended to be offered to customers, along with all connected IT systems and process workflows.
  • Generate user facing documentation to provide guidance in the correct use of our IT systems.
  • Organize ceremonies (Weekly, Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Retrospective), aligned with Agile methodology and Service Delivery (Scrumban)

We are looking for a person who has

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT strategic planning.
  • Strong technical skills along with a strategic mindset to translate regulatory requirements into results.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage and manage internal and external stakeholders on complex projects.
  • Proven experience working in agile teams.
  • Experience leading Infrastructure teams.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of international IT regulations and standard practices.
  • Experience in project management, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

Our Nu Way of Working

Our work model is hybrid and has cycles that can be from two to three months according to the business of ​​expertise. Given this role requirements, the candidate should be located in Bogotá or metropolitan area, able to go to the office 1 week per month Colombia
