The Team

The Marketing Planning and Studio Relations (MPSR) team is embedded within each market and acts as the strategic thought partner for the local Marketing teams - helping translate comprehensive insights across the business into executable Marketing strategies. Possessing full visibility across the Content slate (both locally and globally), the MPSR team plays a pivotal role in forward planning and campaign prioritization. This team also ensures that local initiatives are seamlessly connected to global priorities and resources and serves as a strategic representative of our internal marketing teams with external creative partners and studios in order to maximize promotional opportunities for their projects worldwide.

The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Country Marketing Planning and Studio Relations - India will be a strategic advisor and connector to the India Marketing team — shaping country marketing strategy, driving long-lead planning and prioritization, identifying scalable promotional initiatives, and managing external studio relationships.

This is a permanent FTE role reporting into the Director, APAC Country Marketing Planning and Studio Relations with 1 direct report. The position will be based in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trust and strong relationships with India Marketing leadership, internal cross functional teams, and external Studio partners

  • Act as embedded strategic advisor to India Marketing leadership - shaping strategy, ways of working, org priorities, etc.

  • Own slate expertise across local and international content to drive campaign prioritization and resource allocation.

  • Turn data and market insights into actionable recommendations: present clear, data-driven narratives to local and regional stakeholders; evaluate past campaigns to inform future strategy.

  • Connect the dots and build alignment across India Marketing, extended Marketing functions, and cross-functional teams (Content, Product, Partnerships, Finance, Comms)

  • Represent India Marketing in global forums, ensuring the market’s voice is heard in strategic discussions.

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Studio and Content partners — shaping campaign strategy around partner-delivered assets and supporting licensed title operations.

Candidate Profile:

  • 15+ years of experience in strategic planning, business strategy, marketing strategy, or business partnership roles, ideally in media, entertainment, or consulting in India.

  • Track record leading top-tier marketing campaigns end to end.

  • Strong analytical skills; self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and fast pace.

  • Confident communicator and stakeholder influencer with a strong presence in local and global forums.

  • Strong and seasoned people leader with the ability to manage & develop 1 IC Manager and contribute to broader MPSR team

  • Passion for TV/Film, especially Indian content

  • International market experience is a plus.

  • Fluent in English.
