As we move beyond 300 million members and hundreds of partnerships worldwide, we are looking for a talented individual to drive strong outcomes for our partnerships in South Korea Our priority partners in the region will span across mobile, broadband & digital players, Consumer Electronics players, select Ecommerce businesses and other leading consumer brands.
When we partner with these brands, we approach business and marketing opportunities together to attract new audiences and drive business impact. Reporting to the Director of Partner Marketing APAC, this role will be responsible for connecting the dots across the market, building and owning a holistic functional strategy, identifying key strategic levers and working closely with the Country Partner Marketing leads to maximise impact via Partnerships.
This role will be based in Seoul. We are looking for an experienced Partner Marketing leader with a deep understanding of the South Korea market and partners. The right candidate is a strategic marketing professional who enjoys commercial management, understands entertainment and has successfully delivered on a regional scope.
The Role
The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with demonstrated experience in building strong Partner Marketing strategy & delivering tangible business outcomes.
A passion for technology and entertainment is a must, in addition to a keen understanding of how access to entertainment fits into consumer’s lives and how it is likely to evolve over time. As Sr Manager, Partner Marketing Korea, the successful candidate will be the functional expert and a critical link between key cross-functional teams like Business Development, Partner Solutions, Partnership Strategy & Analysis and Country Marketing to achieve business goals in the region. This role will require some travel in the region and will work closely with several stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Build and own the Partner Marketing strategy for Korea with a clear lens of how it will help deliver on our broader business strategy.
Partner with the country teams to develop, refine and execute functional strategies, including defining clear goals and short, mid & long term roadmaps.
Provide thought partnership and guidance around opportunity sizing, identifying consumer & partner motivations, key GTM levers and clear success metrics for initiatives across existing & new partnerships in the region.
Establish & foster deep relationships with key senior marketing stakeholders on the partner-side.
Partner with key cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Business Development, Partner Solutions, Partnership Strategy & Analysis and Country Marketing to maximise Partnership impact in the region.
Partner with key stakeholders within Netflix international offices and headquarters.
Identify strategic functional priorities that can scale across the sub-region.
Qualifications:
More than 15 years’ experience across Tech & Entertainment is essential. Experience across Digital/PayTV/Telecommunication/CE is a plus.
Excellent market knowledge and expertise.
An expert in Full Funnel Marketing, including Retail / Sales, who is also experienced in budget ownership.
Entrepreneurial mindset: consumer-oriented, outspoken and impact oriented.
Possess the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously without the support of a large team, working both independently and in close collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders.
Strong knowledge and interest in both business and marketing challenges with a keen lens on driving impact.
Strong communication and influence skills with a track record of collaborating effectively and driving initiatives with cross-functional partners.
Willingness to ‘roll up their sleeves’ and be motivated, proactive, disciplined, flexible and able to work with effective autonomy.
Fluency in English and Korean is a must.
Lastly and most importantly, one who thrives in the Netflix culture.
