The core Advertising team is charged with building a new, best in class ads organization to establish Netflix as the premiere platform for advertiser partners, and to drive advertising revenue. Our Revenue team is currently looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to partner with multiple cross-functional teams to establish and scale multiple aspects of Netflix’s growing ads business, across pricing, customer incentives, order management, contract support, and advertiser + agency partnership management. This individual will look to solve complex revenue recognition and operational issues with groups such as Revenue Yield Analytics/ Pricing, FP&A, Legal, Product, Sales, and Infrastructure Engineering. You will be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but will work cross-functionally across many time zones with our US and international offices.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Own accuracy and completeness of LATAM revenue accounting across Direct Insertion Order, Live, and Brand Partnerships / Sponsorships business lines.

  • Own the preparation of month/quarter end workbooks, accruals, reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting across agency incentives and rewards such as cash rebates, added value credits, and pricing discounts, as well as customer remediation efforts such as makegood credits, credit memos, or re-bills.

  • Act as primary Revenue Accounting regional point of contact in the contract negotiation and execution of new LATAM media models and Agency agreements. This includes partnering closely with regional, cross-functional stakeholder groups across Legal, Sales, Sales Ops, Finance, and Tax to provide revenue recognition, invoicing, and operational accounting guidance..

  • In collaboration with the global revenue accounting team, function as the LATAM Revenue Accounting POC in the implementation of, user testing for, and ongoing assessment of changes to Netflix’s ad infrastructure (including its CRM tool and order management system). Identify when/if any local revenue recognition and/or invoicing requirements (including regulatory) necessitate modifications to the ad infrastructure.

  • Provide in-region support and management of non-standard billing or invoicing requests to Sales or Account Management counterparts, with an emphasis on globally scaled products.

  • Collaborate with LATAM Sales Ops to identify product or media offerings specific to the region. Document any regional workflow, contracting, or revenue recognition considerations and ensure alignment and integration into Global Processes.

  • Collaborate with LATAM finance and tax teams to bridge US GAAP and Statutory/Local reporting requirements.

  • Partner closely with the Credit, Collections, and Dispute Management team to clear issues for the region and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to revise invoices, prepare adjusting entries (as needed), and ensure timely payment.

  • Drive ongoing operational process improvements along with Sales Ops, infrastructure engineering, Pricing Team, and Workday ERP teams.
