Position Summary
Responsible for leading a number of directors/creators and artists on short-form content creation using new and emerging technologies, including Generative AI. This role balances exploratory technology and workflows, high creative ambition, and production milestones and deliverables. The Producer will build and rebuild schedules, manage budgets, and guide small teams to uncover new methods of filmmaking. The Producer serves as the hub between creative, technical, and cross-functional support partners, maintaining clear communication and supporting the vision of each project and the overarching goals of the operation.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Directors/Creators and artists to develop production “sprints” with the goal of generating high-quality, stylized imagery and nuanced storytelling.
Coordinate daily/weekly stand-ups to align creative, technical, and production priorities.
Lead and mentor a small, flexible, and agile production management team
Work closely with technical lead(s), technical directors and engineers to understand a variety of GenAI applications, and work with the creative and technical teams to implement them into functioning workflows
Evaluate tools and platforms for image, video, and text-based GenAI use cases.
Balance the need for production discipline and schedule/budget management with an inherently exploratory process.
Work closely with cross-functional partners, including Finance, Talent, Recruiting, and Technology teams, to ensure resource and operational alignment.
Facilitate regular reviews and production updates for key stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment and transparency.
Help build a creative community and a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and exploration
Oversee the documentation of various GenAI workflows and methodologies - be able to strategically design them for larger-scale projects
Identify which workflows can be templatized or automated for future productions.
Ability to decipher what types of visual data are best suited to build AI models on and how best to generate that visual data through traditional or non-traditional means, including using real-time engines, video capture, and 2D animation.
Maintain clear and timely communication with studio executives and advisors, providing strategic updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
Present trade-offs and recommendations when scope, schedule, or resources need adjustment.

Qualifications
7+ years of production experience in animation, games, visual effects or digital media content creation
Demonstrated success in managing and leading creative teams
Deep understanding of traditional production pipelines, departmental dependencies, and creative workflows.
Working knowledge of GenAI applications as well as a functional understanding of LLM’s and LoRA’s
Strong financial and scheduling acumen; experience managing small and large budgets
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; proven ability to motivate and guide large, diverse teams.
Working knowledge of production tracking and scheduling tools
Adept at balancing creative needs with production or operational goals
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Animation, Production Management, or Computer Science —or equivalent professional experience.

At INK, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your compensation. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, location, skills, and experience. The overall market range for this role is typically $586,000-$825,250. This reflects total compensation; we do not have bonuses.
Depending on whether you are covered by a collective bargaining agreement, INK benefits can include medical/dental/vision plans, mental health support, retirement programs, and family-forming benefits, paid leave of absence programs, and paid time away programs to be used for vacation and sick paid time off.
