LATAM Payments Finance & Strategy
The Americas Payments Finance & Strategy (F&S) team is seeking a high-caliber professional to focus on payment analytics across Latin America, as well as to support strategic commerce initiatives that shape the broader growth strategy for the region. This is a manager-level, individual contributor role with a broad geographical scope. You will play an essential role in defining the payments strategy in the region, identifying opportunities in acquisition and retention, and leading day-to-day efforts to monitor and optimize payment performance. You will be part of the team responsible for turning payment data into business and product insights that inform and develop our payment strategy. This position will be based in Mexico City.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate the financial impact of payment opportunities, such as new methods of payment launches, retention optimizations, and ecosystem engagement
Financial projections and scenario modeling
Risk identification and mitigation strategies
Analyze payment performance to proactively identify improvement opportunities within acquisition, retention, and costs across markets, methods of payments, and external partners
Support payment partner engagement with digital wallets, banking institutions, gift card service providers, and card networks (e.g., Visa/Mastercard) with a focus on improving performance
Create insightful presentations that facilitate decision-making for internal stakeholders and our external partners
Partnering with the Product team to help identify/prioritize and assess the impact of initiatives
Conduct global analyses on payment performance
Providing inputs to other teams working on payments initiatives (E.g. Data Science & Engineering, Consumer Insights)
Improve our analytical tooling and efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be highly analytical and effective communicators. Prior experience in management consulting or an equivalent analytical role is strongly preferred. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of performing comprehensive analyses independently and proactively, and be prepared to regularly “roll up their sleeves” to handle more mundane tasks on the same day they present to the company's executives. They must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results, and exhibit the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
7+ years of experience in an analytical role in management consulting or a tech firm.
Extensive experience conducting quantitative analysis that leads to actionable insights
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skilled in preparing effective presentations with clear narratives
Team player with strong interpersonal skills, but also able to work independently
Strong Excel skills (mandatory)
Extensive experience managing complex projects with a lot of ambiguity, supporting multiple senior stakeholders
Payment experience in the direct-to-consumer space or at a fintech is preferred
Bachelor’s or master’s degree with an emphasis on quantitative coursework is preferred
Outstanding command of English, both written and spoken.
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory.
