The Role

We are looking to grow our Consumer Products team to help amplify member joy and strengthen brand affinity around the Netflix brand and our beloved titles. We do this by developing creative and relevant ways for our members and fans to interact with Netflix off-screen.

Consumer products drive meaningful show awareness and buzz with product stories that allow fans to express their love for our brand and titles, while also generating modest profit. Ideally, our products connect members to our content, and to each other, by bringing their favorite stories to life.

We’re seeking a strategic and commercially driven leader to oversee and grow the Consumer Products (CP) business in Korea, positioning it as a hub for regional expansion and influence. This role will own the business strategy across all consumer products lifecycle from licensing and retail to marketing, leading efforts to unlock new business initiatives, strengthen existing partnerships, and scale the impact of global deals locally vice versa. The Director/Senior Manager reports directly to the Director of Consumer Products for APAC and is responsible for delivering results aligned with regional priorities and global brand strategies.

We are seeking a results-driven, entrepreneurial leader with a strong track record in business development, commercial strategy, team leadership and cross-functional collaboration. The candidate will be responsible for building and scaling the Korea Consumer Products business by unlocking new initiatives, deepening existing partnerships, scaling global deals locally, and creating sustainable business models for the country. This role requires a relationship-oriented professional who is passionate about leading a team and bringing Netflix IPs to life for fans through innovative, high-quality consumer products.



Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the Consumer Products business for Korea from licensing to retail and across all categories, strategically aligned with APAC and global priorities.

  • Grow the local business by building sharp business strategy, identifying opportunities, developing new partnerships w/ licensee and retailers, sustaining growth with existing partners and continuously assessing priorities and business performances.

  • Develop commercial go-to-market plans for global franchises as well as local priority titles in partnership with internal teams and partners (licensee & retailers).

  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams from Marketing, Brand Partnerships, Ads, Publicity, MSD, PDC, and Legal to ensure holistic execution and alignment.

  • Manage and develop a team of licensing and retail management by keeping everyone motivated and thereby drive constant business growth.

  • Build C-suite business relationships with licensees and brands to ensure we win with winners and serve as a strong advocate for Netflix and Consumer Products Korea.

  • Act as the senior CP representative in the Korea office, supporting internal communication and integration with broader Netflix priorities.

  • Report regularly to the CP Director of APAC on strategy, execution, opportunities, and performance for the Korea market constantly exploring areas to grow and pursue.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in commercial roles such as business development, strategic partnerships, brand management, or sales—ideally in entertainment, consumer products, or lifestyle industries.

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing lean high-performing teams.

  • Demonstrated success in growing commercial programs, building new businesses, or scaling local impact from global strategies.

  • Experience working with global franchises or partners, and translating high-level strategy into local execution.

  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to work in a matrixed environment and across diverse teams and functions.

  • English fluency is a must.
