We are seeking an experienced lawyer to support creative, business, and legal teams in negotiating and drafting production services agreements, talent deals, content acquisition and distribution agreements, with a particular focus on original productions in Argentina & Chile. This role will be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

As a successful candidate, you will be responsible, both business & legal, for a wide array of development, acquisition of IP and production and talent matters related to Netflix’s original content. You will negotiate deals and draft agreements to develop, commission and produce local programming with producing partners.

You will need to be extremely comfortable advising internal stakeholders and making decisions that have both business and legal impact. Being a pragmatic and trusted partner both internally and externally is key.

The role requires a good knowledge and willingness to dive into intricacies in the multi-territory SOLA region - with a curiosity to understand business and policy impact, an ability to think out of the box and be flexible.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years experience as production counsel or entertainment-related fields (e.g., production, gaming, music, theatre, broadcasting, or law firms specializing in these industries);

  • Practical knowledge of the industry (including content windowing strategies, and the evolving theatrical, SVOD, pay TV, and home video landscapes) and local players. Experience providing in-house support in an entertainment company is a plus;

  • Strong business acumen, a solution-oriented approach and an adaptable negotiation style;

  • Solid communication skills, creative thinking, and high collaboration, with a positive response to change and new ideas;

  • Strong analytical capabilities and judgment;

  • Excellent drafting skills;

  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal communication skills. Curiosity and willingness to tackle matters outside their area of expertise and delve into local business practice and law in various countries;

  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably under sometimes tight time frames;

  • Maintain close alignment with multiple internal cross-functional partners;

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English.

  • A law degree is required.
