The Content Finance & Strategy team is looking for a Manager to join its Latin America team based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Content F&S drives the vision and business strategy that provides Netflix with best-in-class metrics, tools, analysis, insights and reporting to make effective content performance and programming decisions. We partner closely with Data Science & Engineering, Content Programming Strategy & Operations, and leadership to do so.
This role will reside in Netflix's Sao Paulo office.
Responsibilities
Innovate and develop content performance metrics, frameworks and insights.
Analyze portfolio investment and performance to develop short- and long-term content planning.
Guide Netflix’s content launch strategy and deepen understanding of title audiences.
Conduct ongoing analysis of key business drivers and content trends.
Execute market research and competitive trends analysis.
Run valuation and financial models to inform content deals, particularly for high-investment opportunities and emerging content areas.
Spearhead special projects for senior Netflix leaders and develop recommendations on key strategic issues.
Streamline and manage key analytical operations and reporting.
Providing strategic advice and support for external data sharing, including creating the materials to support our promotion and Public Policy efforts.
Partnering closely with other Strategy teams as well as Product, Marketing, Consumer Insights, and Data Science & Engineering teams.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in a top management consulting firm, investment bank, private equity, hedge fund, and/or media/entertainment/tech company in a strategy or finance role.
For candidates with MBAs, typically we would look at candidates with 1-2+ years of post-MBA experience.
Experience in the entertainment industry (having worked in a studio, production company, agency, or distributor) is a plus, though not required.
Experience conducting quantitative analysis (including modeling) and qualitative analysis and can drive to insight and results using data.
Excellent communication/presentation skills with a track record of presenting complex analysis to executives/senior management clearly and concisely.
Strong initiative and ability to work independently, thrives in a fast-paced, always changing environment.
Highly intellectually curious and has the courage to challenge the status quo and exhibits the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics .
Netflix is fast-growing with a flat organizational structure, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties. The ideal candidate would be prepared to regularly "roll up their sleeves" to perform more routine tasks on the same day that they are asked to prepare an analysis and a presentation to the executives of the company.
Candidate must be motivated, disciplined, and able to work effectively autonomously.
Exceptional proficiency with MS Excel & PowerPoint; working knowledge of statistics and analysis packages.
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or other relevant fields that demonstrate quantitative orientation. MBA preferred but not required.
