We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst with deep multi-jurisdictional expertise to oversee tax compliance and advisory functions for our LATAM operations (excluding Brazil), based out of our Mexico City office. This role demands a versatile tax professional who can navigate the complexities of diverse regulatory frameworks across Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Perú, adapting quickly to evolving tax legislation in each country.

You will combine hands-on compliance execution with strategic advisory support, serving as a key liaison between internal teams, external advisors, and tax authorities across the region. A critical component of this role is leading and managing tax audits—both statutory and authority-driven—ensuring the company’s positions are well-documented, defensible, and resolved efficiently.

You will report to the Sr. Tax Manager, LATAM in Mexico City and will work closely with cross-functional partners across Finance, Legal, and Operations. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, moves comfortably between jurisdictions, and brings the flexibility to shift priorities as regulatory landscapes change.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will be managing and overseeing ongoing compliance requirements related to direct, indirect, and/or digital service taxation in the LATAM region (including Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Perú), as well as providing regional tax advisory support and leading tax audit processes. Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Manage and execute month-end and quarter-end close activities across multiple LATAM jurisdictions, including journal entries, tax account reconciliations, and related deliverables.

  • Oversee routine indirect and direct tax compliance filings, ensuring adherence to each country's regulatory requirements and deadlines.

  • Stay current on legislative and regulatory changes across all covered jurisdictions; proactively assess their impact and advise leadership accordingly.

  • Coordinate and drive tax audits across the region—statutory, tax authority, and government inquiries—owning the end-to-end audit lifecycle from initial response through resolution, navigating cross-functional alignment and collaboration.

  • Provide tax advisory support on cross-border transactions, double taxation treaty application, VAT refunds, and other regional tax matters.

  • Support the tax accounting function, including the Income Tax Provision under US GAAP.

  • Support the application, compliance, monetization, and reporting processes to claim Production Incentives in the region.

  • Lead ad-hoc projects such as creation of new legal entities, tax program applications, process improvements, automations and electronic invoicing/requirements changes.

  • Identify opportunities and lead projects to streamline tax operations through automation tools and software, minimizing manual tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in tax compliance, with proven multi-country expertise across LATAM (Mexico required; Colombia, Argentina, and/or Perú strongly preferred).

  • Demonstrated experience managing tax audits—statutory, tax authority, and government inquiries—from planning through resolution in at least two LATAM jurisdictions.

  • In-depth knowledge of direct and indirect tax regulations in Mexico and LATAM countries; familiarity with country-specific platforms (e.g., SAT, DIAN, AFIP, SUNAT).

  • Experience with the Income Tax Provision under US GAAP is highly desirable.

  • Highly proficient in spreadsheets, ERP systems, CFDIs, and electronic invoicing systems; knowledge of Workday, Blackline, and Google applications is a plus.

  • Highly organized with the ability to balance competing priorities and navigate multiple deadlines across jurisdictions simultaneously.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to convey complex tax nuances to a diverse audience clearly and succinctly. Able to deeply analyze, clearly communicate (verbally and in writing) knowledge and advise in plain and clear terms.

  • Hands-on mentality with a strategic long-term vision; passionate about automation and process improvement.

  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability; comfortable operating across different tax regimes and cultural contexts.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
