Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Production Assistant to join our team on an exciting new animated feature film. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative filmmaking environment and is passionate about animation and production. As a Production Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the production team. You will act as a central point of coordination across departments, ensuring effective communication, organisation, and administrative support throughout the project.

What You’ll Do:

  • Track leave requests and production outages, providing summaries to Production Management as required

  • Coordinate new starter onboarding, including start dates, seating allocations, and starter kits

  • Liaise with Employee Services and IT team to support onboarding and production needs

  • Maintain and manage the production calendar, including coordinating meetings across sites

  • Organise and support meetings, reviews, and crew screenings (virtual and in-studio)

  • Coordinate digital delivery of materials between studio locations

  • Maintain and update production documentation, workflows, and project information

  • Provide administrative support to Producers and Production Managers

  • Take and distribute clear and accurate meeting notes when required

  • Provide additional support and coverage for Production Coordinators when needed

  • Act as a point of contact for production visitors, working closely with the Reception team

  • Coordinate purchasing requests and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive production and company information

  • Attend training and actively contribute to personal and team development

What You’ll Need:

  • 1+ years’ experience working as a Production Assistant or in a similar support role within film, post-production, VFX, animation, games, or creative industries; or

  • Relevant education in film, VFX, animation, or a related discipline

  • Experience with scheduling meetings and calendar management

  • Strong computer literacy and administrative skills

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive team attitude

  • A collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and direction

  • Enthusiasm, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem solving

  • Financial awareness within a production environment

  • High level of professionalism and discretion

  • Willingness to learn new workflows, tools, and technologies

  • Passion for film and animation production

This role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Hybrid Role (Minimum of 3 days a week in the office).

At NAS, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your compensation. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, location, skills, and experience. The overall market range for this role is typically $49K-$55K CAD. This reflects total compensation; we do not have stock options.
