At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

The Studio Strategy team works closely with our Netflix Studio team to develop strategy and support the execution of that vision. The Netflix Studio is the largest studio in the world producing Netflix original series and films. The Studio Strategy team works closely with our partners in production innovation, resource management, VFX, facilities planning, dubbing, sustainability, and risk management to provide insightful and strategic guidance on core business decisions. The team is a high-impact group within the organization that works on strategic initiatives, cutting across studio operations, content, product, and data science teams across the globe. The Manager position will be an integral member of the Studio Strategy team and will be responsible for leading support and analysis across the breadth of work provided by the team.

This role will reside in Netflix’s Hollywood office.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering closely with Studio stakeholders to set the strategic foundation for new initiatives (e.g., Studio Tech Innovation)

  • Developing strategic frameworks and robust business cases to guide decision-making on key Studio efforts

  • Preparing valuation analyses (model building, scenario testing, etc.) to support our Studio teams in key business decisions and investments

  • Conducting analysis of key business drivers, trends and performance indicators

  • Creating insightful presentations that synthesize analyses and presenting them to Senior Leadership

  • Compiling thoughtful post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement

  • Developing a deep understanding of industry trends as well as competitive threats and opportunities

Candidate Profile:

  • Candidates are required to be highly analytical and be strong, effective communicators. Candidates must be excellent at crafting, presenting, and socializing complex ideas, recommendations and insights to broad stakeholder groups.

  • 6+ years of experience at an investment bank, management consulting firm, private equity, hedge fund, and/or internal strategy. Prior experience in Media/Entertainment is a plus (but not required).

  • The successful candidate must display, through attitude and accomplishments, strong initiative for anticipating and meeting the business demands of senior-level business managers. This person must be a solutions oriented problem solver with a focus on generating impact.

  • This person must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.

  • Netflix is fast-growing with a flat organizational structure, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties. The ideal candidate would be prepared to regularly "roll up their sleeves" to perform more routine tasks in the same day that they are asked to prepare analysis and a presentation to the executives of the company. The successful candidate must be motivated, disciplined and be able to work effectively autonomously.

  • A commitment to embrace and advocate for inclusion is essential, including demonstrated cross-cultural understanding and intelligence.
