We are building a new Integrated Marketing business unit to support this endeavor.
Our goal is to help advertisers connect with our IP, fandoms, and the Netflix brand in innovative and impactful ways.
About The Role:
The Director of Brand Partnerships: Live Development will lead the team responsible for developing and delivering brand partnerships that drive commercial outcomes tied to our ambitious APAC Live slate across sports & entertainment live properties.
This person will work directly with rights holders, leagues, talent agencies, etc. and our Live Content team to extract maximum commercial value through sponsorships, editorial features, product innovation, custom content and bespoke partnerships.
To be successful in this role the candidate will need to have experience working with a broad set of sports leagues and production entities.
The candidate will lead the development of our turnkey and bespoke marketing packages and oversee their implementation with our internal production team.
This role will require someone with a background in activating sponsorships and integrations tied to live sports and live entertainment with a deep understanding of live event production logistics.
They should have experience working with advertising clients in live and SVOD content environments. They will be a trusted resource for understanding what brand partners can be authentic to the creative vision of our live events.
This person will need to build effective relationships with external production companies, ad sales, and clients to bring these programs to life.
This role will also work closely with key stakeholders in our Title Marketing, Live Production, Social, Production, Creative, Streaming Product and other relevant areas of the business to ensure we are developing robust offerings to drive growth in our ad business.

This role is ideal for someone with a personal passion for live sports & live entertainment and a belief that marketing can be a natural extension of the entertainment ecosystem, enhancing members' experiences and providing unique value for brands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with internal stakeholders and external production partners to proactively develop custom opportunities on the APAC Live Content slate. For example: integrations, branded content, social content, experiential activations, innovative broadcast enhancements, and low-lift custom opportunities.
A deep understanding of sports and live event programming in APAC in order to architect custom editorial content opportunities for clients in tandem with the producers of our live events.
Have experience working with and strong relationships with a variety of sports entities (e.g. WWE, Baseball, Soccer, Basketball, KPOP / JPOP, APAC Live Entertainment and more) to manage end to end relationships as it pertains to our brand partnerships.
Be the key point of contact for cross-functional teams for communication and coordination tied to all client programs tied to sports and live entertainment events.
Partner with key cross functional teams to develop GTM packages and strategies.
Co-own the revenue targets on Live Sponsorships & Partnerships.
Develop and vet custom opportunities for key clients.
Oversee integrations into sports and live entertainment programming.
Develop the multi-year strategic roadmap for brand partnerships opportunities across Live properties in APAC.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience and palpable passion for Live entertainment & sports. 15+ years of proven experience in an integrated marketing function within the live sports & live entertainment industry.
Strong understanding of the Sponsorship & Partnership process on Live properties, from inception through production and execution.
Dedication to creative excellence to ensure we connect advertisers to our content through meaningful and authentic storytelling.
Experience working with development & production executives, showrunners and other talent to identify opportunities for integrated marketing programs
A track record of building out content offerings across streaming platforms, social, digital and experiential touchpoints.
Maintains strong negotiating and problem solving skills while developing bespoke opportunities with internal and external partners.
High level of intellectual curiosity with the ability to demonstrate strong judgment in the face of ambiguity.
