We are seeking a Direct Tax Analyst to join our "Dream Team" in Amsterdam. In this key role, you will be responsible for advising on direct (international) tax matters across the EMEA region.

This role involves researching complex tax issues, supporting tax and financial audits in the EMEA region, collaborating closely with finance, legal and business colleagues, and applying your creativity and curiosity to help navigate new and ambitious business initiatives. You will also contribute to corporate income tax compliance processes and support analysis related to withholding taxes and corporate income tax matters.

The ideal candidate translates complex tax concepts into clear, business‑oriented insights and is effective in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This role requires both independent execution and strong teamwork, as well as a willingness to learn and grow into broader responsibilities over time.

In short, we are looking for someone who is:

  • Autonomous and effective: Able to work independently and deliver results, while collaborating effectively with others when needed.

  • A clear and collaborative communicator: An effective communicator in both written and spoken formats, capable of building strong working relationships with internal teams and external advisors.

  • Organised and focused: Able to prioritise effectively and manage multiple workstreams when needed.

  • Proactive and innovative: Practical, forward‑thinking, and ready to challenge the status quo.

  • Curious and engaged: Comfortable asking questions and approaching new challenges.

  • Detail‑oriented: Highly accurate in their work.

  • Open and candid: Comfortable admitting when support is needed, sharing concerns early, and engaging in honest, respectful dialogue.

Education and experience – must‑have:

  • A degree in tax, law or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Approximately 3 or more years of relevant experience, ideally in an advisory firm or multinational environment.

  • Solid understanding of international and European corporate taxation, transfer pricing, and corporate structuring.

  • Experience supporting tax projects such as audits, controversy, compliance or advisory work.

  • Ability to research tax issues, summarise findings clearly, and support preparation of memos or analyses.

  • Project management experience and a keen eye for detail.

  • Fluent in English.

Nice‑to‑have:

  • Other regional languages are helpful. French language skills are a strong plus, but not required.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.
