The Role
The studio is growing, and we are looking for an ambitious and experienced Game Director to lead one of our new, groundbreaking TV game projects from concept to launch and live. This is your opportunity to shape the creative direction, build and inspire a world-class team, and deliver a product that delights players and stands out in the market. You’ll be the key decision maker, ensuring the game is delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality while collaborating closely with talented experts across the studio.
Responsibilities:
Own and communicate the game’s vision, direction, goals, and quality standards supported by the Studio Leadership and key senior craft leads in the studio from Design to Art and Production
Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing, cross-disciplinary team to ensure a world-class game, on time and on budget.
Own and refine the product roadmap and backlog in collaboration with Production and Product Management
Define what “great” looks like for the product and drive the team to achieve it
Make informed decisions by seeking expertise from across the studio and across Netflix as needed
Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional leadership and communication skills
Strong ability to inspire, align, and motivate teams
Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills
Proven cross-disciplinary collaboration and teamwork
Ability to delegate and take responsibility as needed
Strategic thinking with a balance of creative and product focus
Experience:
Demonstrated success leading the development and delivery of game projects, preferably on multiple platforms
Experience in setting and executing a clear product vision
Background in building and managing high-performing teams
Track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
Experience working closely with creative, technical, and production stakeholders
Deep understanding of what high-quality games look like in the current market
Experience in working in a developer-publisher environment is considered an advantage in this role
