Director, Member Foundations
Netflix
Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
As Netflix broadens its entertainment offering beyond TV shows and movies to include e.g. Games, Live and Video Podcasts, it is more important than ever to evolve our backend systems and tooling to scale with the challenge. Critically, these capabilities interact and depend on our personalization system, which is part of this evolution. As part of this effort, we are enabling new use cases around promoting and presenting content on our service, reaching out to members through powerful, personalized messages, and innovating on the Machine Learning & AI foundations that are fueling our members' experience on the product.
