The Marketing Planning & Studio Relations team serves as a global partner for strategic planning and idea generation.
Our core function is to act as the central link, connecting internal cross-functional teams with external studios. This connective role is essential to maximizing the worldwide impact of our title campaigns and initiatives for our audiences.
As an integral part of the APAC marketing team, this role will be responsible for understanding Content Strategy and leading Campaign Management for both Netflix Originals & Licensed Korean titles that travel.
Starting with analyzing and identifying which series and films will grow the business in the APAC region and beyond as multi-market opportunities, the job also involves supporting the strategy and creative campaign development of global and Korean titles (both Netflix Originals & Licensed), providing strategic insights on title and campaign opportunities, and collaborating with regional partners such as marketing, social, PR, partner marketing, consumer products, and content planning & analysis.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for Korean content and the opportunity for its reach to audiences around the world, and be able to work with stakeholders in Korea and marketing teams outside of Korea.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for driving strategic marketing connectivity, long-lead planning, and cross-regional campaign development for Korean content, ensuring strong collaboration across APAC and global markets. The position serves as a key bridge between Korea, regional teams, and global stakeholders—maximizing the global resonance and business impact of Korean titles.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cross-Regional & Internal Marketing Connectivity
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key marketing stakeholders across APAC, UCAN, EMEA, and LATAM.
Ensure close alignment with cross-functional Marcomms partners within Korea.
Represent Korean and broader APAC strategic priorities and perspectives in global forums.
2. Strategic Planning & Prioritization
Collaborate with Content and cross-functional Marketing Teams to assess the slate with relevant data inputs and determine titles and campaigns with high potential impact in APAC and other regions.
Lead long-lead planning processes to drive informed prioritization to best equip teams for decision-making and resource allocation.
Deliver curated cultural, behavioral, and market insights to Korean content teams and cross-functional partners.
3. Local Slate Expert
Serve as the primary point of contact for Korean content priorities and initiatives.
Communicate and advocate for Korean titles with global and regional markets.
Identify opportunities for Korean campaigns to travel and generate business impact across territories.
4. Studio & Content Partner Management
Lead marketing communications for Licensed Titles and serve as the main liaison for Studios and Content Partners.
Maintain trusted and strategically aligned relationships to support the operational needs of Licensed Title campaigns.
Ensure smooth cross-functional execution and alignment across partners.
5. Global Campaign Strategy & Development
Contribute to the end-to-end strategic development of Korean export campaigns—from upstream planning to international rollout.
Partner with global and regional Marketing teams to define strategies for priority titles, including culturally relevant positioning, early briefing, roadmap development, and tactical deployment.
Drive alignment on campaign strategy, creative approach, and execution across APAC and other key markets.
6. Global & Regional Initiatives
Lead select multi-title programs, tooling initiatives, and other global/regional business priorities as the APAC marketing representative.
Provide structured global/regional learnings to improve future campaign strategies and content planning.
The Ideal Candidate Is/Has…
10+ years of experience in brand, content, or entertainment marketing, specifically with leading consumer-facing brands.
Demonstrated success in leading and executing highly impactful, top-tier marketing campaigns end to end.
Ability to design and implement marketing strategies with strong analytical skills to interpret data, metrics and trends across regions.
Flexible and agile to embrace a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Ability to thrive in our unique company culture.
A natural problem-solver who can work through challenges and navigate comfortably in ambiguity.

Passionate about TV and film content, and Korean content in particular, with some knowledge of the entertainment landscape and industry trends and the desire to bring Korean content to audiences around the world.
Experienced in working in Asia and with other international markets is not a mandatory, but a plus
Fluent in both Korean and English.
