We are looking for a Manager, Ads Finance & Strategy to join our team in Sydney. This is a pivotal Strategic Market Lead role where you will act as the strategic co-pilot to the Australian Sales Director while simultaneously owning the market’s Revenue & Yield Analytics.
Australia is a core revenue market and a critical launchpad for our Programmatic strategy in APAC. Consequently, this role requires a leader with deep Programmatic expertise to not only drive the local business but also serve as the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Programmatic across the APAC hub.
Responsibilities
1. Australia Country Strategy & GTM
Strategic Co-Pilot: Partner with the Australia Ads Sales Director to define the local commercialization strategy. Determine what gets prioritized locally—including agency focus, DSP launch strategy, and advertiser targeting.
Market Leadership: Serve as the central point of contact for local cross-functional teams (Product, Content, Legal, Marketing), representing the Ads business in local leadership forums.
Opportunity Assessment: Evaluate the Australian market opportunity, competitive environment, and agency landscape to translate global/regional strategies into actionable local plans.
2. Programmatic Leadership (Regional SME)
Programmatic SME: Leverage your deep understanding of the ad-tech ecosystem to lead Programmatic strategy for the region.
Tech & Product Liaison: Act as the APAC Product & Tech liaison for F&S, driving workflow improvements and project management for major launches (e.g., new programmatic features).
Launchpad Execution: Utilize the Australian market as a testing ground to define best practices and frameworks for programmatic monetization that can be exported to other APAC markets.
3. Revenue & Yield Analytics (RYA)
Monetization Engine: Lead the analysis of transactional data, CPM trends, inventory delivery, and advertiser tier performance to maximize yield in the Australian market.
Business Reporting: Lead the creation of standardized business reporting for key AU stakeholders, uncovering insights to inform weekly trading decisions and QBRs.
Pricing & Deal Support: Provide analytical support on pricing, packaging, and deal approvals to ensure decisions align with long-term revenue goals in coordination with broader F&S team.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 7+ years of experience, ideally in management consulting, media strategy, or ad-tech companies.
Programmatic Expertise (Must-Have): Deep knowledge of the streaming advertising and ad-tech ecosystem is critical. You must be familiar with programmatic advertising, SSP/DSP relationships, and auction dynamics.
Analytical & Strategic: You are "bilingual" in strategy and analytics. You can build complex financial models in Excel/Tableau one hour and present a polished strategic narrative to leadership the next.
Cross-Functional Influence: Proven ability to build successful relationships with Sales, Product, and Finance stakeholders, often influencing without direct authority.
Independent Operator: You thrive in a "hub-and-spoke" model—physically located in Sydney while reporting into the regional APAC F&S structure. You are comfortable with autonomous decision-making.
Culture: You are selfless, curious, and passionate. You possess a high level of intellectual curiosity and use the 80/20 rule to solve complex problems.
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree with emphasis on quantitative coursework; MBA a plus.
