The opportunity
We believe that we derive a significant competitive advantage from the highly analytical approach we take to managing the company. As we continue to push for growth and retention in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region, we are looking for an Associate to join our Partnerships Finance & Strategy (Partnerships F&S) team. This role will be focused on conducting regional and global partnership analyses and projects and analysing partnership opportunities with local operators.
Netflix has built a number of partnerships with companies, from mobile and fixed line network operators to CE device manufacturers and distributors, that help us deliver the Netflix experience around the world. These partnerships have been instrumental in accelerating Netflix’s global growth story. In EMEA, we have partnered with leading Pay TV and telecommunication companies such as Sky in the UK, Telefonica in Spain, Orange in France, Deutsche Telekom in Germany and many others.
The Partnerships F&S team plays a critical role in the assessment and ongoing strategy for those partnerships in the region. During negotiations, we provide guidance to the Business Development team using data and analysis. When partnerships are launched, we monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Finally, we work closely with our counterparts in other regions, as well as partner functions like Consumer Insights and Data Science, to conduct broad analyses to support strategy development and execution across the partnerships function to increase the impact of our partnerships.
This role will be based in Amsterdam and report to the EMEA Manager of Partnerships, Finance & Strategy. The role will include occasional travel to partner locations in select regions, as well as occasional travel to other offices in EMEA and the global HQ in California.
