We are seeking an experienced Assistant, Production Management to support executives and manage communication internally and externally on productions across our live-action, narrative Film slate. Responsibilities include executive calendar management, managing document distribution & communication flow, and supporting/suggesting best practices from pre-production through delivery while working with external producers and production partners. This position will report to a Production Management executive in Los Angeles. This team is responsible for supervising all aspects of production with our film slate.
The Role
A successful candidate will be self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, thorough, and capable of juggling multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and unwavering attention to detail at all times. This is a demanding and fast-moving position requiring someone who is proactive and able to exercise good judgment and initiative while working with a high-volume production slate.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain a heavy calendar for a Production Management executive, including booking and confirming meetings & calls, both internally & externally, as well as managing travel.
Build and nurture collaborative relationships with internal operations, technical teams and production stakeholders to streamline workflows across all apps and content teams
Coordinate initial kick-off and ongoing production meetings for internal teams and external partners
Take detailed notes on agendas live in meetings and circulate information to the greater team; memorialize decision-making and track the next steps
Coordinate travel arrangements (domestic and international) and related administrative duties (i.e. processing travel and expense reports, tracking travel visa needs, digital and physical filing, etc...) for the team
Manage and track the flow of incoming and outgoing materials
Maintain internal systems to track projects and their statuses
Coordinate document distribution and production information flow, with emphasis on updating, maintaining, and championing the use of Netflix tools and databases internally.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree
2-3+ years as an assistant in the entertainment industry, preferably on a physical production desk or related area at a studio/network/agency, or as a coordinator or assistant on a series or film production.
Innate sense of timing to maintain the pace required to meet tight and ever changing deadlines
Team-player with a positive attitude who can operate in a fast-paced setting
Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information
Understanding of how to prioritize various tasks and respond accordingly
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Deep passion for and knowledge of the Film and TV space
Proficiency in Google Suite strongly preferred
Curiosity, openness to learn and not be afraid to ask questions.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $180,000.
