The opportunity:

We’re looking for a strategic and creative Social Manager to work across our kids gaming slate, building out social campaigns that promote our kids games to parents and caregivers as well as other key audience segments. The right fit for this role should have a deep understanding of the kids & family landscape online, the modern parenting experience, and how kids are engaging with games. This should be balanced along with excellent editorial judgement to balance the needs of the audience with the needs of our business.

At Netflix, Social Managers lead the entirety of the social campaign on their assigned titles and slates. They not only understand social marketing and the digital landscape but also the unique Netflix social ecosystem and find the most effective way to translate our title strategies across that ecosystem. They must work well cross-functionally to align social strategy to larger marketing strategies and communicate specific social goals effectively to all partners.

Candidates should have a social background, experience activating fandoms and communities, and excellent editorial judgment to balance the needs of the audience with the needs of our business. They will oversee comprehensive social campaigns for titles, collaborating cross-functionally to align social strategies with overarching marketing goals and effectively communicate these goals to partners. This role requires a dynamic individual who deeply understands the social space, knows the most impactful parent and kid influencers, and is driven to make an impact with this audience on the various platforms where they’re most active.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a game’s social strategy, aligned with the overall marketing campaign strategy. This is inclusive of the target audience, social creative, content distribution across the Netflix social ecosystem (Instagram, Discord, Reddit, TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube, etc) and, if necessary, the creation of title pages.

  • Responsible for the full suite of content to support a game across the planned social ecosystem for the duration of a title campaign and sharing globally.

  • Leverage streamers and creators to effectively promote the game across social platforms and channels that reach untapped audiences

  • Work closely with marketing, production, and talent partners to craft content capture strategy, plan around talent, and decide execution needs (content days, on-set capture, marketing shoots, etc.).

  • Use internal and external social analytics and other internal data to inform strategy, iterate creative, and constantly learn to improve future campaigns.

  • Designate global campaign and product-specific social KPIs to set clear expectations for regional social teams' contributions and strategies.

  • Work across multiple cross-functional teams to build social strategies that support business priorities and long-term industry relationships. This includes serving as the main social touchpoint for internal teams (Title Marketing, Publicity, Content, Integrated Marketing) and external partners (Filmmakers, Showrunners, Talent, Leagues etc).

Background and Specific Skills:

  • Understanding of COPPA and platform safety guidelines

  • Experience working on broad, multiple-platform marketing campaigns and delivering nuanced, insight-based social strategies.

  • 5+ years background in kids & family and/or gaming or gaming-adjacent social / marketing roles.

  • Knowledge of what works across various social platforms and experience in multi-channel distribution efforts.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and highly collaborative - loves working with others, isn’t afraid to lead or follow.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience using data and intuition to make content that grabs attention and engages its audience. Strong on social media analytics, but isn’t afraid to take big risks.

  • Must be able to prioritize and handle several projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment while adhering to shifting deadlines.

  • Able to build strong relationships and work across many internal cross-functional teams.

  • Experience working directly with game publishers and executives, and is skilled in pitching/ presenting with the ability to read the room.

  • High tolerance for change, and the capacity to accomplish enormous amounts of work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Respect, understanding, and enthusiasm for Netflix culture.

At Netflix, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your personal top of market. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically

$170,000 - $360,000.
