The Role:
We are seeking an Executive to help manage Netflix's original content (series, films, non fiction). The role, Senior Manager, Production Management Middle East and North Africa, is a permanent position that will report to the Director of Production - Middle East and Africa based in Amsterdam. This Production team is responsible for supervising all operational aspects of original content produced for Netflix in MENA and plays a key role in executing Netflix's original content strategy in the region.
Responsibilities include: managing multiple projects in different stages of production, reviewing production plans and budgets including suggesting optimization solutions, managing a small to mid size team, providing early guidance to internal stakeholders and external partners for projects in the development phase, curating and supporting local production relationships, supporting/suggesting best practices from pre-production through delivery, and developing and driving a strategy for the Production Management function in the region.
This is a demanding and fast-moving position and a successful candidate will be proactive, innovative, self-driven, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail at all times.

Qualifications:
Substantial and demonstrable experience in the film and TV industry in MENA in the production management field (Line Producer, Production Executive, or Head of Production).
Experience managing the production of local MENA TV and/or feature films, and particularly in the Gulf region (KSA, UAE)
Experience managing non-fiction shows in the local market is desirable and considered an asset, but not a requirement
Experience and knowledge of the service market for international productions in MENA is a requirement.
Experience in recruiting and managing high-performing individuals, where everyone feels welcomed and respected.
Ability to develop and implement an effective local strategy for Production Management in alignment with regional priorities.
Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to build extensive and productive working relationships with key people both within the organization and across the external media industry.
Appetite for and comfort with using technology to collaborate and drive innovation within the production process as you look to scale our operations.
Experience working with teams across geographies and a passion for understanding both the local and global nuances of worldwide production practices.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, simultaneously supervising multiple projects at various points of production (from development through delivery).
Access to a roster of high-quality vendors and talent in the region and strong familiarity across MENA production markets.
Flexible attitude to work, able to respond to urgent or important matters in a timely manner.
Ability to be discreet and maintain confidential information, with a solid understanding of prioritizing and responding accordingly.
A desire to continue learning to ensure an understanding of current production processes and a curiosity about how they could be improved.
Fluency in English and Arabic is required, and additional languages are a plus.
Effective communication skills and the ability to multitask.
Proficiency in Movie Magic Budgeting, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Mail.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work closely with Creative Executives to set up new productions by reviewing and approving Production Partners, key Heads of Departments, schedules, and budgets to flag possible issues and identify solutions.
Manage a small to mid-size team of Production professionals
Develop and implement an effective local strategy for Production Management in alignment with regional priorities, in alignment with the Head of Production for MEA.
Work with different Netflix departments such as Post Production, VFX, Creative, Finance, Legal, Public Policy & external production teams to establish workflows across multiple projects simultaneously in different production phases and support key stakeholders by providing the context and/or expertise in business-critical decisions.
Support the Head of Production and Production Org team to develop, communicate and implement an operational strategy for the local slate of Netflix projects.
Regularly align with Netflix colleagues across EMEA and the Globe to share best practices and integrate new learnings from other regions.
Review scripts and work with internal teams, Executive Producers, and Line Producers to vet show budgets and schedules, providing feedback on viability and risks.
Work closely with the Finance team to track & manage all costs, keeping stakeholders informed and working with external partners to ensure we meet deadlines and stay within budget.
Collaborate with internal teams, including Safety, Security, HR, and Inclusion, to support Production Partners in providing safe, inclusive production spaces.
Identify industry trends and potential opportunities for operational improvement.
Support production training initiatives in the region.
Challenge existing approaches and suggest new ways to solve issues in various productions.
