The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Coordinator to join our collaborative Tax Operations Team. Our Tax Coordinator will support the day-to-day operations associated with our federal and state income taxes, indirect state and local taxes and withholding tax filings and obligations and will be key in maintaining accurate records and managing essential tax compliance and audit activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, have a very strong attention to detail and a high level of comfort working with tax filings.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and transmitting basic tax filings, documentation and responses to taxing authorities
Perform basic tax calculations and reconciliations
Facilitate gathering and organizing large batches of documentation and quantitative data as requested by tax audit inquiries
Update and manage internal databases, trackers and calendars to monitor status of filings, responses and projects
Maintain and organize documents and data, ensuring files are accurate, up-to-date, and ready for cross-functional team use
Assist in producing recurring reports and summaries for tax team members, including basic research
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather information, prepare draft correspondence and field inquiries from business partners
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in either tax or accounting environment, with experience in preparing or facilitating corporate tax or accounting filings preferred
Quantitative experience, with demonstrated capabilities in working with numbers, spreadsheets and data
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to updating team members on status
Demonstrated ability to prioritize accordingly to manage expectations of multiple teams and achieve results within tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to complete varying tasks and projects for two separate project leaders while effectively collaborating with various cross-functional partners
Ability to coordinate with large teams and successfully operate within a multicultural international environment
Tech-savvy individual with knowledge of the Google suite of applications (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, and Calendar) preferred and a willingness to learn other tax and accounting software such as Workday
Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can adapt quickly to evolving needs
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $60,000 - $240,000.
