The Games Platform team is on a mission to delight members by building the foundational Game Platform services, tools, and experiences that bridge Gaming with Netflix technologies. This unlocks our unique superpowers, allowing Netflix Games teams to do the best work of their lives.

We are looking for a seasoned senior engineering leader to join the Games Platform organization to help build out our organization in Poland. You’ll be tasked with building a team from the ground up, initially focused on one product area, and then expanding out to grow the portfolio of technology, systems, and services owned by your teams. You work closely with technical colleagues across the globe and stakeholders spanning Product, Design, Game Studios, and other technology teams outside of games.

Your initial domain focus will be Games Lifecycle part of our platform, which supports the onboard to sunset lifecycle for game developers, the bridge between game production and game release. Help Game Studios produce games from “pitch to play”, and allow those games to be promoted on or off service.

What will you work on:

  • Deeply understand and align the team on Game Platform’s long-term products and technology strategy

  • Help lead a particular Game Lifecycle technology area as we go beyond beta as it becomes a critical tool for Game Studios to produce quality Games throughout the world

  • Build the first Games Engineering team in Poland, with a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, psychological safety, and technical excellence.

  • Work with the Games Platform leadership team as a first team to grow and shape this organization as we continue to expand in Poland.

  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders within Games Engineering, Games Product, Design, Data & Insights, and our Game Studio partners to build products that will meaningfully improve the Games Lifecycle

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate is someone who can straddle between a nimble “startup leader” with blurry dividing lines, and a more structured leadership organization spanning multiple teams, and EMs

You may be a good match for this role if you:

  • Have led multiple teams or managers, are skilled in coaching senior engineers, and excel at growing diverse, high-performing teams.

  • Are comfortable with directly leading individual contributors and driving for trust and accountability of technical deliverables

  • Have experience in building B2B or developer-facing tooling and driving adoption through product excellence

  • Are highly technical and understand the details without having to be hands-on keyboard coding, ultimately be a credible advisor to the team

  • Worked with a variety of stakeholders from Product, Design, Business teams, as well as other engineering teams not within your domain or organization

  • Establish clear strategies and frameworks for delivering business-critical results while managing technical complexity and ambiguity.

  • Cultivate an environment where diverse voices are heard and celebrated, and where your team thrives through collaboration and clarity

  • (bonus) Have game development lifecycle experience (e.g., build systems, CI/CD, telemetry, release management), and advocate for solutions that scale and empower Game Studio Production
