As part of the Global Enterprise Operations organization, the successful individual will play a pivotal role in the APAC Workplace team, leading our workplace vendor team in Sydney (Australia). This team is focused on providing an efficiently run, safe, amazing, inspiring, and consistent experience for our colleagues, visitors and partners.
The main responsibilities of the Workplace team is to create an excellent and best-in-class Workplace environment and experience to enable our Netflix employees to do the best work of their lives and to help drive the business forward. The successful candidate will be a thought leader that’s highly adaptable, proactive and resourceful in leading a diverse team in delivering a stunning Workplace experience for our employees and visitors in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for an experienced Workplace professional who can grow and lead a successful, efficient, and high-performing Workplace team. This role requires a strategic individual with a crazy focus on excellence and a high growth mindset, and will report into the Director, Regional Workplace (APAC).
Responsibilities:
Align and lead Australia Workplace strategy with Global Enterprise Operations team, regional and functional stakeholders to deliver Workplace programs and priorities
Directly manage and lead Workplace teams in Australia, providing strategic direction on all aspects of workplace services including building operations, food & beverage, front of house, shipping & receiving, events support, and Environmental Health & Safety
Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to deliver a stunning Workplace experience for Netflix employees and visitors
Lead Workplace communications for Australia
Manage the landlord relationships for our Australia office
Lead and plan office expansion, relocation, restack and densification projects
Stay highly aligned with functional teams & leaders across Portfolio Management, Program Delivery, and Enterprise Security to ensure we are proactively delivering an overall EO strategy that supports business objectives.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, partners and vendors
Budget planning, cost optimization and risk management
Contribute to the improvement of existing processes, evaluating workflows to identify areas of improvement where possible
Help to maintain Health and Safety within the office and respond to emergencies as needed to minimise any downtime within the workplace including having occasional on-call availability, flexible schedule for off hours/emergency support
Qualifications:
5-7 years in a similar role and capacity. Prior experience in tech or entertainment industry is a plus
Strong Leadership and people-management experience
Proven track record of leading a diverse vendors team
Strong business acumen, understand complex concepts and projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Extensive experience with Workplace Services (Facilities, Front and Back of House)
Thrive in a fast pace environment, think out of the box, and produce innovative solutions
Strong knowledge of local Workplace requirements and regulations
Good understanding of Employee Health and Safety (EHS)
Ability to work with ambiguous requirements, take smart risks and make good judgment calls
Demonstrable problem solving skills, with the ability to be reactive to the current needs of the workplace, often requiring on-the-spot decision making
Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects
