The Role

We are seeking a Creative Associate with significant experience in development and in-depth knowledge of the Polish creative industry.

If you have a deep love for storytelling and experience providing creative guidance to top-tier writers and directors, this role is your opportunity to shine. As a critical team member, you'll support managers in the CEE series team, contributing to the development and delivery of the original series. This fast-paced role calls for self-motivated individuals with proactive thinking, adaptability, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities across projects at different stages, from development through to production and towards launch. Key Responsibilities:

  • Read all incoming submissions and either write a pass letter or share thoughts with another content executive

  • Attend pitches with creative lead and follow up when necessary

  • Second or additional executive on shows:

  • Read all versions of the bible and scripts in a timely manner

  • Watch dailies and cuts in a timely manner

  • Provide notes (to lead executive) on materials sent by showrunners/creators/producers in a timely manner

  • Search for and increase knowledge of IP

  • Initiate digging for ideas across all IP: books, podcasts, articles, comic books, video games

  • Research, either self-generated or requested from a creative executive - e.g. come up with a list of all major true crime stories

  • Lists - e.g. writer, director, and actor lists for projects

  • Show initiative in finding new projects and strengthening current projects (cast, music, etc.)

  • Deepen knowledge of the industry: talent, producers, creators, etc.

  • Help the team focus on talent relations, such as gifting.

  • Managing, coordinating & tracking cross-functional workflows/information flow/preparing presentations and memos.

  • Collaborate with internal Netflix teams, including Production Management, Post Management, Legal, Product, Marketing, and PR.

Experience:

  • Scripted content experience, ideally as a Development Executive or Producer / Junior Producer.

  • In-depth knowledge of screenwriting, with a keen sense of screenplay structure, character, and analysis.

  • Strong communicator, able to partner with writers and convey notes clearly and tactfully.

  • 2+ years of Production experience, understanding the practical and logistical aspects of bringing a screenplay to the screen.

  • Extensive knowledge of the Polish creative landscape, with a robust network within the creative community.

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, simultaneously assisting and/or supervising several projects in various phases of development and production (from evaluation to production through delivery)

  • Adaptability and the capacity to juggle a high volume of work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Language ability - Fluent in both Polish and English.

  • Willingness to be innovative, bold, take educated risks and think out of the box
