Role Overview:
The Talent Coordinator position sits in our Talent Intelligence & Strategic Programs Team and will have two main areas of focus; elevating our candidate experience and pipelining external talent in priority craft areas for the studio through a variety of sourcing methods. Given the multi-faceted nature of this role, this person will need to have exceptional time management capability, high attention to detail, strong communication skills and a deep inclination for building, evaluating and reimaging our work across these areas.

Core Responsibilities - Candidate Experience

  • Primary point of contact for internal and external candidate interviews across all positions for in-house productions and studio corporate and tech teams
  • Own all aspects of the scheduling process from interview request through to confirmation to all involved parties (incl but not limited to booking rooms, seeking availabilities across multiple time zones and arranging travel logistics and/or candidate expenses etc)
  • Execute, assess and iterate on the candidate experience; seeking new ways to enhance and uplevel the support we offer before, during and after the interview
  • Own the day-of on-site experience, ideate how it could be better, and execute on a best-in-class experience, including organization and stocking of the interview suites
  • Reporting and analytics on interviews and candidate feedback to ensure we are identifying trends and seeking to highlight and respond to the findings

Core Responsibilities - Sourcing

  • Conduct proactive and strategic sourcing efforts to identify and engage potential candidates for all below-the-line roles across departments that are priority for the studio and/or upcoming films
  • Utilize various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and industry events, to build diverse candidate pipelines
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with potential candidates through personalized outreach and communication, showcasing our studio's culture and exciting projects
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by following global Talent Coordinating best practices and providing timely and informative responses to inquiries and following up with candidates periodically to support a trusting ongoing relationship
  • Maintain an organized and updated applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring all information is accurately tagged/pipelined and easily accessible by the Recruiters
  • Assist in the reviewing of candidate applications, resumes, portfolios, and reels to identify those who align with our studio's hiring needs and uploading to our ATS
  • Monitor external-facing email distribution lists, forwarding viable candidates to the right Recruiter/Sourcer and responding via canned response to non-viable candidates (unsolicited pitches, etc)
  • Represent FAN at industry events, conferences, and join Industry Association communities to expand your network and stay up-to-date with industry news and trends

Key Qualifications, Skills and Person Specification

  • Proven experience in a similar Talent Coordinator, Scheduler or Sourcer role with experience scheduling interviews as well as an interest in sourcing, outreach, early careers and/or employer branding work.
  • Quick study with a high degree of curiosity and proactivityDeep passion for animation and a baseline understanding of the production pipeline
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter/ Instagram/Art Station for sourcing talent
  • Proven track record of resilience and positivity in times of change and ambiguityHigh level of professionalism and discretion in all work efforts and interactions
  • Appreciation for the importance placed on providing an inclusive candidate experience and how that should be ingrained in the work of this team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with candidates and build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Ability to represent the studio professionally and persuasively at industry events and networking opportunities
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Location: This role is based out of the Burbank office.
At FAN, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your compensation. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall market range for roles in this area of FAN Animation at Netflix is typically $27 - $33 / hour. This range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy.
