Whether you're solving problems, building market-leading products or exploring how AI can make work smarter, you’ll have the freedom to create and the trust to deliver.

If you’re ready to grow, shape the future of fintech and join an ambitious, high-performing team, this is the place for you.

Your Impact
This role is part of the Core Data Products team, responsible for exciting company-wide initiatives that help Mollie use data more effectively. This isn't about running queries – it’s about using valuable skills in data analytics and data engineering to enhance the capabilities of your peers working in data.

Here are a few examples of recent projects to illustrate how we’re doing this:

  • Rethinking our data modelling philosophy to reduce dependency on a small number of fragile, problematic, critical data models

  • Rolling out a new collaborative analytics tool intended to help data analysts communicate their insights to stakeholders more effectively

  • Enabling Mollies to ask questions from their data in natural language, increasing access to data, and freeing up valuable time for your fellow data analysts

Whatever you’re working on, you’re bound to truly shape our data landscape – empowering other data professionals, and influencing how Mollie uses data to drive decisions.

What you’ll ship

  • Play a leading role in the selection and implementation of a new BI tool for Mollie, ensuring a smooth, seamless transition away from Looker.

  • Drive initiatives to improve the performance and reliability of our dbt models, while also driving down costs

  • Support the continued adoption of AI-driven analytics, such as natural language query tools, to increase access to quality data.

  • Provide high quality analytical support to other business domains where needed, covering reporting, analytics and accommodating implementation of new SaaS tools

  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members, providing guidance around best practices and supporting the development of their technical and analytical skills

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, or equivalent demonstrable experience using data to help businesses.

  • Advanced SQL proficiency and a strong understanding of data modeling principles.

  • Proven experience building and scaling data models using dbt or an equivalent stack (e.g., SQL + Airflow).

  • Deep experience with at least one modern BI or data visualization tool (e.g. Looker, Tableau, etc.).

  • A track record of taking raw, complex data sources and modeling them into useful, clean, production-ready datasets.

  • The ability to translate business problems into data questions and clearly communicate findings to non-technical partners.

Grow your way

At Mollie, growth is personal. We believe everyone should have the chance to develop their skills, explore new challenges and shape their career on their own terms.

You’ll get regular feedback and performance reviews to support your development, with fair and transparent salary reviews along the way. Many Mollies move into new roles or take on new projects to stretch themselves, and we actively hire from within to help you take the next step.

No matter if you’re aiming for promotion, exploring a different career path or building new skills, you’ll be supported with the tools, trust and opportunities to grow your way.

Unlock your full potential and join us to eliminate financial bureaucracy
