Your Opportunity

Mollie is on a mission to become the most loved Payment Service Provider in Europe. DACH is a focus market for our international growth. We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales to strengthen our commerce team in Germany.

You’ll help Mollie grow by leading an exceptionally high-performing Direct Sales team, responsible for serving the full range of our sales targets from small businesses through to mid-market & large companies. As a natural commercial leader you’ll inspire and motivate junior and senior sales talent to hunt for prospects, find creative ways to leverage our outstanding product to meet client needs and ultimately close the deal. You’ll report to the VP DACH and will work closely with the local and central teams and functions.

What you'll be doing

  • Scale and expand the DACH sales teams, hiring and retaining the best talent

  • Manage and coach a team of sales team leaders to achieve stellar performance on sales conversion and output while creating opportunities for personal growth of the team members

  • Manage daily, monthly and quarterly on team performance against targets. Analyse your team’s performance data, working closely with the Commerce Optimisation team, to identify opportunities for growth

  • Collaborate with the Head of Channels and the DACH marketing team to optimise the performance on leads generated

  • Implement a strong outbound sales approach and introduce sales best practices incl. social selling

  • Identify opportunities in the market based on customer feedback and team insights. Collaborate with the DACH leadership team and the cross functional teams to optimise our product portfolio and customer processes for the DACH market.

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of commercial experience. You are a driven commercial leader with extensive sales and people leadership experience

  • Experience scaling a sales team, ideally in a fast growth environment

  • You have a deep understanding of the DACH market e-commerce and SaaS market and experience with scaling a SaaS company that is focussed on SME/ Mid Market companies.

  • You are highly motivated and are passionate about developing individuals into their best selves, stellar sales executives who can bring their full potential to bear.

  • You have strong communication and presentation skills, ability to represent Mollie internally as well as externally.

  • Data driven mindset. You have a strong ability to leverage metrics and dashboards to create excitement towards target achievement.
