Your Opportunity

As a Systems Engineer at Mollie, you'll leverage your expertise in user identity and access management to enhance our IT landscape. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining systems and applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security, scalability, and usability. Additionally, you'll serve as a mentor to IT Engineers, providing technical guidance and support.

What you’ll be doing

  • Plan, design, develop, and test systems and applications, focusing on cloud-based and internet-related tools.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize technology spend and complexity.

  • Act as an escalation point for technical issues related to user identities and access management.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and participate in projects to enhance our IT infrastructure.

  • Provide informed input into the design of strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability.

  • Ensure all business process automations are reliable, secure, and compliant.

  • Collaborate with vendors to enhance the effectiveness of supported applications.

  • Serve as a technical point of contact for IT solutions/applications.

  • Analyze requirements and integrate application components.

  • Automate processes and policies to streamline operations.

What you’ll bring

  • Customer-first mindset with an ownership mentality.

  • 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or Enterprise Applications Engineer.

  • Advanced skills in managing identities via Google Workspace, Okta, Atlassian, Slack, or other SaaS solutions.

  • Understanding of device-based trust applications and Zero-Trust concepts.

  • Thorough technical troubleshooting experience.

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automations using Terraform.

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform application deployment.

  • Ability to automate process improvements via code, low-code/no-code workflows, etc.

  • Knowledge of RBAC/ABAC concepts and identity administration.

  • Impeccable technical documentation and KB writing skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Promote technology innovation by researching and identifying relevant technologies.

  • Understanding of IT and Security best practices.

Nice to have

  • Experience working alongside audit teams and external auditors.

  • Knowledge of compliant frameworks used in financially regulated industries.

  • Experience with Identity Governance Administration tooling.

  • Application programming experience using multiple languages.

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and people systems architectures.

  • Skills in data analysis and data hygiene best practices.
