Welcome to the Engineering Graduate Program at Mollie in Amsterdam!

Our Engineering Graduate Program is designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge, and experience you need to succeed in the fast-paced and ever-evolving world of technology. Whether you're interested in back-end development, infrastructure, security engineering or data analytics, we have a range of opportunities that will allow you to put your skills to the test and make a real impact.

You'll have the opportunity to work with some of the most talented engineers in the industry, as well as collaborate with other departments such as product development and customer support to bring your ideas to life.

The graduate program lasts for 12 months and will start in September 2024. During that period you’ll be working in two different teams, for six months each.

This is a great opportunity to learn about the business and try out various disciplines within engineering at Mollie. You will also experience the way teams collaborate across the organisation, and complete an end-to-end assignment in each rotation. In addition, you will have the opportunity to take technical and soft skill training while being paired with a mentor to support you through your learning journey.

What you'll be doing

  • Work as a member of two of our scrum teams in the Engineering department (6 months rotation)

  • Work closely with engineers to design, develop, and test new features and enhancements for our payments platform

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in languages such as PHP, Java or Python

  • Collaborate with other engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of features across the platform

  • Contribute to the development of our technical roadmap and ensure that our technology remains secure and up-to-date

  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other team members

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest innovative solutions to complex problems

  • Learn from and share knowledge with your colleagues to enhance your skills and contribute to a culture of continuous learning

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as PHP, Java or Python

  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
