About the Role

The Scene
Picture Miro’s buzzing Amsterdam office — a global success with 100+ million users and ambitious growth plans. As the go-to platform for team collaboration, Miro is now embarking on its next big chapter: a full-scale AI transformation. With vast amounts of user data ready to fuel smarter, more predictive features, there’s one challenge — the data is messy, inconsistent, and scattered across systems.

The Problem This Person Will Fix
This brand-new role exists to fix that. We need a bridge between chaotic raw data and clean, trusted, actionable insights. This person will be the foundational analyst who turns data wilderness into a structured, reliable ecosystem — enabling the data science team to build groundbreaking AI models instead of cleaning data. Without this role, the entire AI initiative stalls.

What you’ll do

  • Design, build, and maintain resilient, automated data pipelines using tools like dbt and Airflow to transform raw data into usable information
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate ambiguous questions into specific, actionable analyses and clear, insightful visualizations using platforms like Looker or Tableau
  • Implement and own data governance processes, including data quality checks, profiling, and validation, to ensure the entire organization trusts the data
  • Utilise expert-level SQL and Python to query modern data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake) and conduct in-depth analyses to answer critical business questions
  • Serve as a "bridge-builder" between technical and business teams, troubleshooting data issues by diagnosing the root cause and effectively communicating solutions to all stakeholders

What you’ll need

To succeed, this person needs to be a hybrid of a skilled technician and a thoughtful collaborator.
Hard Skills:
  • Technical Toolkit: They are fluent in SQL and Python and have hands-on experience with modern data warehouses like BigQuery or Snowflake
  • Process Automation: They don’t just move data; they build resilient, automated pipelines using tools like Airflow or dbt
  • Data Governance: They know how to implement processes for data quality, profiling, and validation, ensuring everyone can trust the data they use
  • BI Expertise: They have a knack for turning complex datasets into clear, insightful visualizations using platforms like Looker or Tableau
Soft Skills:
  • Business Acumen: They are deeply curious and strive to understand the "why" behind every data request. They can translate a vague business question into a specific, actionable analysis
  • Collaboration & Communication: They are a natural "bridge-builder" who can speak the language of both technical teams and business stakeholders with ease
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: When a dashboard breaks or a data pipeline fails, they don't just fix the symptom; they dig deep to find and solve the root cause
  • Humility and Drive: In line with Miro's culture, they are a dreamer who works hard but stays humble, playing as a team player to help the entire company win

What's in it for you

  • Competitive equity package
  • Medical insurance coverage
  • Lunch, snacks and drinks provided in the office
  • Wellbeing benefit and WFH equipment allowance
  • Annual learning and development allowance to grow your skills and career
