We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Director / Director, HRBP to lead a team of HR Business Partners (HRBPs) This critical role will be instrumental in shaping our people strategy, fostering a thriving organizational culture, and driving business success through effective HR partnerships. This (Senior) Director will report directly to our VP for People & Culture.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic HR Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to a team of HR Business Partners, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and P&C strategies.
Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of HRBPs, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence. This includes overseeing the head of Culture & Engagement, ensuring strategic alignment and effective execution of initiatives.
Business Partnership & Impact: Oversee the HRBP team's partnership with leaders across the organization to drive business performance through sound HR knowledge in areas such as workforce planning, change management, employee productivity, recruitment and selection, and employee relations.
Talent Management & Acquisition: Guide the HRBP team in advising business leaders and hiring managers on talent requirements and optimal hiring strategies.
Culture & Engagement Champion: Collaborate closely with the head of Culture & Engagement to design, implement, and execute programs and practices that cultivate a positive organizational culture, enhance employee engagement, and promote manager effectiveness.
Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Ensure the HRBP team proactively mitigates risk and addresses legal considerations related to local employment law, staying consistently updated on regulatory changes.
Data-Driven Solutions: Drive the HRBP team to analyze trends, identify gaps, and develop data-driven solutions and programs to address people-related risks and issues.
Coaching & Development: Ensure consistent coaching of managers and employees on policies and practices, aligning with market best practices and wider business expectations.
Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Oversee the effective facilitation and resolution of complex employee relations issues, concerns, and grievances.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships across the P&C team and with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and strategic alignment.
Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the HRBP function and culture and engagement team, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, programs, and overall HR effectiveness.
What You’ll Need:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant HR certification is highly desirable.
Extensive HR Experience: A minimum of 10-12 years of progressive HR experience, with 3-5 years in a leadership role managing a team of HR Business Partners or equivalent.
Culture & Engagement Expertise: Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing culture and engagement strategies, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams focused on these areas.
Employment Law Acumen: Familiarity with labour laws in different countries and HR best practices is beneficial.
Leadership & Management Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment. Strong coaching and mentoring skills are critical.
Strategic Thinking & Business Acumen: Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into effective HR solutions. Strong understanding of business operations and financial implications of HR decisions.
Exceptional Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively connect and influence at all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to senior leadership.
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable solutions to complex HR challenges.
Relationship Building: Proven ability to build strong, trusted partnerships across the organization and with external stakeholders.
