What You Will Do
We are currently seeking an adaptable, successful, and experienced Business Development Manager for one of our Partner Success teams, focusing primarily on Global Distribution Partnerships. Your goal will be to identify new opportunities with the largest, most strategic partners and provide them with all the resources they need to achieve their growth objectives, helping Klarna become everyone’s favorite way to shop.
You will:
- Build and execute jointly agreed-upon business plans with partners or merchants to drive mutual growth and success.
- Work closely with internal analysts, delivery, and marketing teams at Klarna to drive enablement and lead generation activities.
- Identify new partnerships or business opportunities, pitch Klarna’s services, and close deals.
- Manage and support key accounts, including PSPs, Platforms, and Group Retail Brands.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall growth of the company.
- Build strong relationships both on an executive and individual level.
- Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships, including c-suite.
- Conduct extensive market research to position Klarna as best as possible.
- Network effectively with local clients and develop strong professional relationships.
- Ensure deadlines are met and budgets are maintained.
- Create and deliver/present Quarterly Business Reviews to members of Partners’ C-suite teams.
- Adapt the business model to be culturally relevant without losing its identity.
- Play an important role in taking Klarna to the next level.
Who You Are
- 3+ years in Business Development/Account Management/Sales.
- Experience in retail, payments, or e-commerce.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written); other languages are a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, e-commerce platforms, and fintech solutions.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the payments, e-commerce, or fintech industries.
Awesome to Have
- Additional language skills.
- Experience with CRM systems and sales tools.
- Knowledge of global market trends in fintech and e-commerce.
