Role Overview

The Implementation Specialist III, RCM owns Kipu's most complex, high-risk, and multi-product RCM implementations for behavioral health treatment centers. You will lead advanced discovery and solution design for revenue cycle workflows, manage challenging client situations, and mentor other Specialists. This role requires advanced judgment, deep RCM domain expertise, and the ability to elevate execution quality beyond individual project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Discovery & Solution Design

  • Lead complex discovery engagements, uncovering billing requirements, payer nuances, and compliance considerations clients may not initially articulate.
  • Design revenue cycle solutions that balance client goals with best practices, scalability, and cross-product impacts.
  • Evaluate and recommend approaches for non-standard billing configurations or multi-payer complexity.

Complex Project Delivery

  • Own high-risk, enterprise-level, or multi-product RCM implementations from kickoff through adoption.
  • Manage challenging client situations and escalations with composure, redirecting toward solutions.
  • Drive accountability for timelines and deliverables with senior client stakeholders.

Mentorship & Team Quality

  • Mentor other Implementation Specialists through knowledge sharing and direct coaching.
  • Contribute to improvements in processes and implementation standards based on real project learnings.
  • Influence training strategy and delivery approach for the broader RCM implementation team.

Go-Live Readiness & Adoption

  • Validate go-live readiness with rigor, holding launches when billing criteria are not met.
  • Drive post-go-live adoption conversations focused on billing accuracy, denial rates, and revenue cycle health.
  • Ensure smooth transitions to post-go-live support with complete context and documentation.

Qualifications

Required

  • 4-6 years of experience implementing RCM systems, including enterprise-level or multi-payer deployments.
  • 8+ years of revenue cycle management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex client situations, escalations, and senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Proventrack recordof mentoring others and contributing to team-wide quality improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or addiction treatment settings.
  • Experience with cross-product implementations spanning RCM, EMR, or CRM.
  • Familiarity with EDI, ERA, HL7, and healthcare billing compliance standards.
  • Travel up to 50% for enterprise client engagements.
