Role Overview
The Implementation Specialist I, RCM works directly with behavioral health treatment centers to
configure, train, and prepare them for go-live on the Kipu RCM platform. You will support
discovery conversations, build out billing and revenue cycle configurations, deliver hands-on
training, and maintain project documentation across a caseload of concurrent implementations.
This is an entry-level implementation role with structured coaching and development from your
Team Lead or Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Discovery & Configuration
• Support discovery sessions to understand client billing workflows, payer requirements,
and operational needs.
• Configure the RCM system following documented standards, translating client
requirements into accurate setup.
• Validate data inputs including payer information, fee schedules, and billing rules for
completeness and accuracy.
Client Training & Enablement
• Deliver live, interactive training sessions that build client confidence and competency in
billing workflows.
• Adjust pace and depth based on client comprehension, ensuring users can operate the
system before advancing.
• Surface help resources proactively to enable client self-service after go-live.
Project Delivery & Documentation
• Maintain accurate project records including status, next steps, and project health.
• Document meeting summaries, decisions, and risks so context is preserved across the
project team.
• Manage tasks across multiple concurrent projects, escalating risks and blockers
promptly.
Go-Live Readiness & Adoption
• Confirm billing workflows are configured, tested, and producing expected outputs before
launch.
• Validate that clients can perform required RCM workflows with minimal guidance before
go-live.
• Support early post-go-live conversations focused on client confidence and billing
accuracy.
Qualifications
Required
• 1-2 years of experience implementing or providing technical support for an RCM system.
• 4+ years of revenue cycle management experience.
• Experience providing software training to end users.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with comfort leading client meetings.
Preferred
• Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or addiction treatment settings.
• Familiarity with EDI, ERA enrollments, and clearinghouse processes.
• Experience with CRM and project management tools such as Salesforce, Jira, or
Smartsheet.
