Your Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain system integrations between Brex, NetSuite, and other financial tools; troubleshoot sync failures and maintain mapping tables
  • Build and maintain automated reconciliation workflows to match Brex transactions against the general ledger, reducing manual touchpoints and close cycle time
  • Configure and maintain chart of accounts, departments, class, and approval routing within NetSuite and Brex to support accurate departmental reporting

Core Accounting Operations

  • Assist with end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entries, accruals, prepaid amortization, and variance analysis
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts — including bank accounts, credit card programs (Brex), intercompany, and deferred revenue — and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Oversee accounts payable and expense management workflows in Brex; enforce and refine expense policies across the organization
  • Support revenue recognition processes in NetSuite, ensuring accuracy of recognized vs. deferred revenue under ASC 606

Compliance, Controls & Reporting

  • Document, and enforce accounting policies and internal controls; create and maintain a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for all finance department workflows
  • Monitor and audit financial transactions for compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local regulations; interpret and operationalize new accounting guidance as it applies to the business
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors, preparing audit support schedules and PBC packages
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in NetSuite to provide real-time visibility into KPIs, budget vs. actuals, and financial trends
  • Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
  • Manage Avalara sales tax system, reconcile sales tax payable balance sheet accounts, and ensure tax returns are filed in a timely manner.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a SaaS or high-growth technology environment
  • Hands-on experience administering Brex (card management, policy configuration, GL sync) required
  • Proficiency in NetSuite (journal entries, saved searches, report builder, SuiteFlow a plus) required
  • Experience with QuickBooks, strongly preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP and relevant sales tax requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas); experience with Google Sheets also a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to build and document SOPs, internal controls, and reconciliation procedures
  • Strong analytical mindset — comfortable investigating data anomalies across systems and driving them to resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate financial data for non-finance stakeholders
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
