Role Overview
The Implementation Specialist I, MAT works directly with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) clinics to configure, train, and prepare them for go-live on the Kipu EMR platform. You will support discovery conversations focused on MAT-specific workflows including patient screening, intake and induction, medication management, and dosing operations, build out system configurations, deliver hands-on training, and maintain project documentation across a caseload of concurrent implementations. This is an entry-level implementation role with structured coaching and development from your Team Lead or Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Discovery & Configuration
- Support discovery sessions to understand client MAT/OTP workflows, dosing operations, medication management protocols, and clinical documentation needs.
- Configure Kipu EMR following documented standards, translating MAT-specific requirements into accurate system setup including intake, induction, maintenance, and discharge workflows.
- Validate data inputs for completeness and accuracy before import or configuration, including patient records, medication protocols, and licensing documentation.
Client Training & Enablement
- Deliver live, interactive training sessions that build client confidence and competency in using the EMR for MAT operations, prioritizing minimal disruption to dosing and day-to-day clinic workflows.
- Adjust pace and depth based on client comprehension, ensuring users can operate the system before advancing.
- Surface help resources proactively to enable client self-service after go-live.
Project Delivery & Documentation
- Maintain accurate project records including status, next steps, and project health.
- Document meeting summaries, decisions, and risks so context is preserved across the project team.
- Manage tasks across multiple concurrent projects, escalating risks and blockers promptly.
Go-Live Readiness & Adoption
- Confirm MAT workflows are configured, tested, and usable end-to-end before launch, with particular attention to dosing, medication tracking, and regulatory documentation.
- Validate that clients can perform required workflows with minimal guidance before go-live.
- Support early post-go-live conversations focused on client confidence and initial adoption.
