Job Description/Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills and experience with data visualization tools to analyze complex data sets and transform data into actionable insights for our customers.

Role Responsibilities

  • Data Preparation & Analysis: Develop, execute, and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases to support internal and customer reports and dashboards
  • Data Visualization: Create and maintain compelling visualizations and dashboards using tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by conducting thorough validation and quality checks.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
  • KPIs: Assist in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track patient outcomes and organizational performance.
  • Bug Triaging and Resolution: Track and resolve data and reporting issues using a variety of tools
  • Documentation: Document processes and methodologies for data management and analysis.
  • Training: Train end-users on new reports and dashboards.

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, mathematics, healthcare, or related field.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years with SQL, 1-3 years of Python or R, and one year with a data visualization tool (e.g., QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Ability to translate complex data into digestible visualizations.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new tools.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive communicator.
  • Inquisitive; Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate uncertainty.
  • The ability to take initiative and work independently. Can effectively manage tasks with little to no oversight.
  • Preferred qualifications:
    1. Experience with Python or R.
    2. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
    3. Understanding of statistical methods and data modeling techniques.
