We're seeking a Human Resources Generalist with growth potential to join our People team. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Human Resources Generalist will focus on partnering across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. An ideal candidate will have experience within the health-tech space; experience with employee relations and benefits programs; knowledge of HR compliance and legal issues; and a strong desire to contribute in a fast-paced and exciting environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Partners with HR Team in the administration and execution of human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
  • Responds to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provides aid to employees and management.
  • Supports HR efforts in the researching, developing, drafting, updating, and distributing guidelines/policies (e.g. employee handbook); conducts informational meetings, training sessions, and other communication forums to explain and discuss human resource policies.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Tracks metrics and reporting for HR activities as assigned.
  • Performs special project activities and other related duties as assigned.

Professional Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a HR generalist, including 3+ years focus on Employee Relations (ER) issues (ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge for the practical application of human resources protocols in a variety of HR disciplines (e.g. employee relations, performance management, compliance, engagement, recruitment, retention, compensation, and employee coaching.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with HR systems (HRIS, ATS), preferably ADP/Workforce Now.
  • SaaS and Healthcare experience a plus.
  • Prior payroll experience a plus.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and best practices a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
