Job Summary:

Kipu is in search of an experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join our Education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a comprehensive 90-day training program for new hires, with a primary focus on Kipu’s EMR and CRM products. This new hire training plan will cater to all operations new hires. Additionally, the specialist will support ongoing enablement for the entire org using a train-the-trainer approach for new releases, upskilling, and team-specific processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create comprehensive onboarding program including developing and maintaining material, organize and scheduling sessions, hosting live training sessions, and tracking and reporting on new hire progress.
  • Work cross-functionally to evaluate learning and development needs, including coordinating shadowing, training sessions, scheduling check-ins, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Product Team on upcoming releases, building training materials, delivering live training sessions, hands-on exercises, and quizzes to support spaced learning and increased retention.
  • Keep training materials for product and operational procedures up-to-date as products and processes evolve.
  • Work to increase engagement levels within training initiatives by implementing improved communication strategies, introducing elements of gamification, and tailoring training plans to individual needs.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs through comprehensive assessments, feedback collection, and metrics analysis, allowing for ongoing enhancements and monitoring of attendance reports.
  • Become the SME for your Kipu Products.
  • Integrate comprehensive industry knowledge into training sessions and courses to enhance staff expertise in SUD, Behavioral Health, and the various markets served by Kipu, contributing to the development of subject matter expertise across the organization.
  • Leverage performance benchmarks to assess program effectiveness and evaluate how much the training has contributed to attaining department-specific goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in learning and development, training, or related field.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Prior training experience (virtual or live training).
  • Demonstrated ability to assess training needs, analyze performance gaps, and develop targeted learning solutions to address organizational objectives.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven history of working well across teams and all levels of employees, a collaborative nature.
  • Keen attention to detail and well-organized.
  • Excellent time management skills (prioritizing and follow-up).
  • Excellent computer skills and technical aptitude.
  • Highly curious and creative thinker who is not afraid to bring new ideas and strategies to the table.
  • Ability to manage stress and strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • EMR experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience working in healthcare (behavioral health preferred) or SaaS
  • Proficiency in creating multimedia content such as videos, animations, infographics, and interactive simulations to enhance learning experiences.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs to support remote work practices, including virtual collaboration tools, and remote team communication.
