Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HR Generalist to join our dynamic People Business Partner team at Hinge Health. In this role, you will primarily support our Non R&D PBP team and be a backup for the R&D HR Generalist by supporting a defined portion of the business by executing core HR processes, supporting people initiatives, and providing foundational people guidance to managers and employees. This role builds advising capability through hands-on execution, data analysis, and exposure to employee relations, change management, and organizational processes. The Senior HR Generalist partners closely with People Business Partners (PBPs) and People COEs to deliver consistent, compliant, and employee-centric HR support.

What You'll Accomplish

Core Responsibilities and Employee Lifecycle Management

  • End-to-End Employee Lifecycle: Manage the complete employee lifecycle for non-R&D client groups, from seamless onboarding through offboarding, including conducting exit meetings and processing administrative tasks like distributing Sales Incentive Agreements, ensuring employee data is accurate in Workday.

  • Payroll & IT Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for Payroll and IT, ensuring all employee transactions are processed consistently and in compliance with established procedures.

  • Operational Excellence & Compliance: Maintain operational trackers and ensure process readiness across key HR cycles (e.g., onboarding, performance, attrition). Oversee the execution of HR programs and processes to maintain regulatory compliance, minimize legal risk, and uphold foundational knowledge of Employment Law and Employee Relations.

Strategic Partnership and Organizational Effectiveness

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams such as Legal, PCX (People, Culture, Experience), People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards to inform policy adjustments and drive organizational effectiveness.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze basic data trends (e.g., engagement themes, turnover) within supported client groups to inform the bi-annual Talent Insights executive summary and fulfill requests from the PBP team.

  • Strategic Program Support: Understand the link between HR programs and the broader company strategy. Support change management initiatives, including communication and training logistics, and troubleshoot employee concerns during transitions.

Guidance, Support, and Process Improvement

  • Management Guidance and Coaching: Provide day-to-day guidance to line management and begin coaching on simple employee relations and performance management scenarios using established frameworks, building trust through consistency.

  • HR Support & Inquiry Resolution: Serve as a primary contact for employees and managers, handling HR-related questions, resolving Tier 2 HR tickets and working alongside AI agents.

  • System Expertise: Act as a system expert for core People tools (e.g., Workday, Lattice, CultureAmp), creating, building, and problem-solving within these platforms.

  • Departmental/Team Improvement: Participate in the development of People and PBP goals, objectives, and systems. Assist in evaluating the People Team’s results against established goals, and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures for continuous improvement in efficiency and service delivery.
