About the Role

The Revenue Operations and Strategy team’s mission is to ensure Hinge Health gets reimbursed for the services we provide, while also leveraging our financial operations expertise to lead and enable strategic decisions and initiatives across the organization. We’re looking for an ambitious and energetic individual to support both our Billing and Commercial Enablement function, who will play an instrumental role in supporting internal Commercial stakeholders for both revenue generation and retention motions, while also ensuring that we are billing accurately and reimbursed in a timely fashion from clients, payers and health plans.

We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of professional experience, preferably in the consulting, startup, or healthcare fields, who is interested in understanding the mechanics of healthcare reimbursement, financial metrics, and go-to-market motions/support. They will work cross-functionally to strategize, create, and implement processes and procedures that not only impact key financial metrics, but also improve company efficiency and scalability as we continue to be a high-growth company. We are looking for someone who can wear multiple hats, is a self-starter, and is passionate about improving the financial health of the HH revenue cycle and business as a whole.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Support the growth of general claim and invoice billing practices from pre-submission to post-submission, including ensuring all claims and invoice clients are charged accurately

  • Ensure new clients are set-up for claim submission and HH is able to receive remittances electronically

  • Support the entire life-cycle of billing for a new client, including: taking part in external calls with carriers, monitoring initial claim processing, eventually turning a new client onto daily automated claims, and reporting on the reimbursement of that specific new account

  • Assist in recurring, monthly and quarterly, billing and collections processes such as invoice billing, claims partner set up and implementation/submission, cash collections, and ad-hoc accounting and revenue reporting support

  • Update and refresh reporting for revenue cycle KPIs, including but not limited to: claim denials, claim write-offs, time to cash, partner commissions etc.

  • Ability to identify revenue cycle process breakdowns and apply knowledge to propose & develop potential solutions

  • Communicate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Partnerships, and Engineering teams to support client and partner financial reporting needs and promote revenue retention

    • Participate in external calls assisting sales pitches and explaining key financial- and business-specific concepts to our valued clients/partners

    • Participate in internal solutioning and educational calls to ensure HH Commercial teams are adequately prepared to answer financial questions

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of professional experience, preferably in the startup, consulting, and/or healthcare fields

  • 1+ year experience with Excel in professional setting

  • Experience working cross-functionally with different teams

  • Comfortable working with the ambiguity of a fast-paced startup

Preferred Qualifications

  • Efficient written and verbal communication skills

  • Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills

  • Experience in revenue cycle management

  • Experience project managing of internal projects

  • Finance and accounting experience is a plus, but not required

Compensation

This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $80,800 - $121,200.
