Job Description

What You'll Accomplish

  • Act as Fullstack Engineer building and extending secure, scalable services and well-tested APIs to power client applications in relation to mobile architecture and development.
  • Design and implement end-to-end solutions in relation to distributed systems and event-
    driven architectures, profile client systems and scale bottlenecks.
  • Develop and deploy robust end-to-end features for cross-platform mobile applications (iOS & Android), leveraging Agile methodologies, cutting-edge frameworks, and implementing advanced multivariate A/B testing to optimize user engagement and drive data-driven decision making.
  • Diagnose and optimize performance bottlenecks in mobile applications.
  • Develop and refine system architectures to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Write, review, and maintain high-quality code, addressing complex technical challenges.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering teams.
  • Assess and recommend new technologies or tools that align with company goals and enhance productivity.
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of existing systems to enhance performance and address issues.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and management, translating business objectives into technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan sprints, prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively and deliver foundational architecture improvements.
  • Provide quarterly on-call mobile architecture support.
  • Utilize at least 9 of the following 15 tools/skills: React Native, React, Node.js, TypeScript,
    Nestjs, GraphQL, Docker, Rails, AWS, Postgres, Apache Kafka, Redis, Apollo, Redux,
    trunk-based CI/CD

Position is located in San Francisco, CA (up to 60% telecommuting
permitted)

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related
  • Four (4) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related
  • Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and six (6) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related.
  • Four (4) years of experience must include utilizing at least 9 of the following 15 tools/skills: React Native, React, Node.js, TypeScript, Nestjs, GraphQL, Docker, Rails, AWS, Postgres, Apache Kafka, Redis, Apollo, Redux, trunk-based CI/CD.

Compensation

This is a full time position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary for this position is $213,512.
